A few hours later, Xiaojun was still blushing at what happened. Why are you looking at him like that?Of course they didn't do it! Hendery wanted to wait until they were married, but he had kept his promise, and let Xiaojun touch him all he wanted, holding himself back as well as he could as Dejun repeatedly touched Hendery's abs, the vampire was relaxing on the bed until Xiaojun planted soft kisses on his neck, startling him. "Pet-" "I know." Dejun pouted, and looked at Hendery, tracing kisses from his collarbone up to his neck, then his cheekbones, and finally, their lips collided.
Xiaojun had always felt like he was himself and never had to change, but in that moment, nothing felt more right than having Hendery's lips on his, it was like he found his missing piece. Hendery pulled away, smiling at him gently. "I love you so much." he whispered, touching Dejun's face.
"I love you too."
Their days just passed like that, wholesome and happy, with Hendery occasionally going back to their school to pick Dejun up. It was like Dejun had moved in with Hendery, honestly. He hadn't actually asked, but Xiaojun spent most of his time there, only dropping by his own house to pick up things, and he rarely even slept at his own house. He liked curling up on Hendery's bed and making a nest with all the vampire's hoodies, sleeping while being cuddled by the prince or engulfed by Hendery's warm scent of his cactus perfume and fresh grass.
The one weird thing was, the prince hadn't seen his best friend. Not once, and he kept himself full with animal blood. He didn't just want to see Lucas for the blood, of course. He missed his best friend, and it was weird because when he tried to approach Jungwoo, the boy gave him the stink eye and walked off, leaving him confused.
He then tried to go to see the basketball coach, who claimed Xuxi was in very busy training, and invited Hendery to sit in the VIP booth for their new year countdown game and be a backup player. Hendery agreed, but still wondered where the hell his best friend was.
He finally couldn't stand it one day, and marched straight into school, looking for Lucas. He overheard a few girls gossiping about the basketball captain, and walked over.
"Did you hear? He broke up with Jungwoo!" One of the girls whispered. "No way, I thought those two were obsessed with each other." "Yeah, but I suspect it's because there's someone else, like have you seen that video of Lucas carrying our school's ice prince that day? And their interaction at the last basketball match, he wore Lucas's jersey, that's something only boyfriends do!"
Hendery rolled his eyes at the convo, but cleared his throat anyways, and the girls quieted down. "Excuse me, have you seen Lucas?" he asked, not even knowing what answer he was expecting.
"Um- yeah! He's on the basketball court, training. It's at the top floor, take those stairs." One of the girls pointed, and Hendery nodded in thanks.
"I'm not dating Lucas, I have a boyfriend." And with that, Hendery ran up those stairs, leaving the girls surprised, and a few seconds later they started gossiping even more excitedly, writing an article for the school gossip news. After all, they were now curious about who messed up Lucas's and Jungwoo's relationship, and what they wanted to know even more was who Hendery was dating. Was it Lucas, or was it Xiao Dejun, the video of them kissing months ago had gone viral in school.
Lucas was shooting hoops, trying to train himself and make sure he wasn't going to lose in the upcoming basketball lesson, and just when one of the balls missed, and hit the hoop, bouncing towards his face too quickly for him to catch it, there was a whirl, and Hendery stood in front of him, the basketball caught by his hand.
"Huang Xuxi, good day. It's so nice to see you again, we need to catch up. " the prince had a devilish smirk on his face, as he glanced at Lucas who was sweating way too much for his own liking. "I wonder who's been avoiding me on purpose, ditching your best friend isn't a good thing, you know."
Hendery leaned closer, glaring at Lucas. "So, who is it?" Lucas gulped nervously, and stumbled back, nervously wiping his forehead with a towel. "Fine, I'm sorry, but I was training for basketball and-"
"And you didn't bother to tell me. Did you even care that I would worry? Did it not occur to you that I would worry about my damn best friend, and wonder how you were holding up since I haven't seen you for 4 entire bloody weeks? I called, I texted, I emailed you, I faxed and I even went to knock on your house door numerous times and I was bloody ignored! I spent days wondering why the hell you were avoiding me and what did I ever do wrong in the past month! And then I come back to school, and you're here shooting hoops, grinning like you're having the time of your life, training. AND you didn't even bother telling me you broke up with Jungwoo!"
Lucas stared at Hendery, who seemed to have finished his ranting and quickly composed himself after his outburst, wiping away the tears in his eyes. "I- I'm sorry, Hendery." The vampire's face went blank, like he just realized something. "It's not even my place to ask anyways, I'm not your boyfriend, since you're fine, I'll go look for Dejun. I promised to pick him up."
Xuxi grabbed his arm, pulling him back. "I have a question, Hendery." The vampire's tone was hostile, showing he was still mad at Lucas for not staying in contact. "Then spit it out." Lucas sucked in a breath, staring at Hendery, his gaze serious.
"Have you ever had feelings for me?"
