There's Something About MeVoice and others,
There's something about me that
you don't like.
Breathe the words
Loud and clear.
Tell me what I need to hear.
Is it my hair, my laugh,
My ever-present smile?
The way I live my life
In denial?
I'm not pretty, or perfect
But neither are you.
So tell me the words,
And I'll say if you
Have hit the mark,
Because you really don't know
Anything about me --
Don't say it's not so.
Don't pretend to be in a good place
to judge what I'm like.
Have you ever tried to "get" me,
To see if you're right?
The answer is no
To all of the above.
So keep you mouth shut,
When you say
there's nothing to love
About me.

RandomThis is a collection of poems - including poems of war, betrayal, sadness and death. They are poetic in the sense that they have all reflected my emotions, and to me are beautifully abstract. Please read at your own discretion... [CAN BE TRIGGERING...
