The next day, Edward and I were sitting with Jess, Angela, Eric, and Mike at lunch as Mike was trying to help Jess with her valedictorian speech.
Edward wrapped his arm around me as we listened to Mike, "Just in time. All right, check it out. 'My fellow students'. Right?" He started saying.
"Good" Eric commented.
"'We are the future. Anything is possible, if you just believe'" he told her.
"That was beautiful" I said sarcastically, causing Angela and Jess to laugh.
"Blah, blah, blah and you got yourself a speech" he told her before giving her the paper.
"No, this'll be my speech when I want everyone to throw diplomas at my head. So, thank you" Jess told him before crumbling the paper and throwing it at his face.
I giggled as Edward smiled lovingly at me, while pulling me closer to him.
"You gotta embrace the cliches, Jess" Mike told her.
"They are the bread and butter of all valedictorians" Eric added.
"And that is why you are not valedictorian" Angela told her boyfriend.
"Jess doesn't need cliches. This speech is gonna be epic" I told them and Jess smiled at me.
"Epic? It'll change lives" she told us, before Jasper and Alice sat down.
"I've decided to throw a party" she told us.
"After all, how many times are we gonna graduate high school?" Jasper asked jokingly, making Edward and I laugh a bit at the inside joke.
"A party? At your place?" Angela asked.
"I've never seen your house" Jess said.
"No one's ever seen their house except Lily" Eric told her
"Another party, Alice?" Edward asked her.
"It'll be fun" Alice told him while giving him a pointed look.
"It'll be better than the last time" I told him and Alice smiled at me before she went into a daze.
The others began to notice, "Hey Angela, do you need some help with those?" I asked her, trying to take the attention off of Alice.
The others started to start up a conversation while I noticed Edward's concerned look. I looked at him but he gave me a small unconvincing smile.
After school, Edward and I picked up Will from his house before he took us to the police station to meet with Danny for dinner.
We got out of the car as Will grabbed our hands and had us swing him as we walked up to the station.
When we walked up the stairs and I saw Charlie and Danny talking to a couple. "Mama, can I go run down the ramp?" Will asked me.
