Zack travelled with a heavy heart and aching head. He decided to go to Alex and Lisa's just because they are more understanding than the other two.

Alex was helping Lisa on the garden when Zack reached them. He was wearing yellow gloves, which were now dirty with soil.

Lisa was crouching on the ground as she planted another set of pansies and violas.

"Hello." He knocked on their wooden fences, which were painted brown, and waited for them to notice him.

Alex turned his head and greeted Zack. "Hey. Come in."

"Thanks." Zack said. He pushed the gate open and came in. He greeted Alex and Lisa once again and sat down on the patio.

"It's still midday. What are you doing planting?" Zack asked.

Lisa laughed. "I'm just in the mood. And it's not really sunny."

Alex rolled his eyes. "Lisa has always been this after learning that she's pregnant."

Lisa gasped, and so did Zack. "Oh my gosh, Alex. We weren't supposed to tell them yet." Lisa giggled.

Alex let out a hearty laugh. "I'm sorry, babe. I just got excited."

Zack immediately stood up and hugged the two. "Congratulations, guys. I'm so happy."

"Thank you, Zachary." Lisa smiled. "Now, Stella has a playmate. I'm so excited to see them soon playing."

Zack nodded his head. "That would be great. She'll be the little kid's older sister. Anyway, how far along are you?"

"8 weeks and a half."

After dusting himself off, Alex washed his hands on the faucet. "Come on. Let's get inside. We have a lot to talk about."

"I'll follow. I still need to water the begonias." Lisa announced.

Both the boys entered through the dining area, and Zack sat down on the bar stool.

Alex fetched him some water and turned on the stove. "Just sit there, man. I'll just get the ground beef from the fridge."

"Sure. What are you cooking?"

"Some taco lettuce wraps. Saw it on Pinterest yesterday." Alex said as he took out the ground beef from the freezer and some lettuce, tomatoes, and green bell peppers from the chiller.

Lisa entered the house and announced that she'll change her clothes first.

Once she was done, she washed the vegetables. "Anyway, why are you here? No offence, honey. Are you just visiting, or is there something wrong? I mean, I can sense things, you know. I'm a girl."

The three of them laughed. "Stop being sexist."

"It's not. But really, is there something wrong?"

Zack sighed. "Holly and I fought."

Lisa's happy face dropped. "Oh. Why?"

"She hates Sunday. I mean, what should I do? She's my best friend and happens to be the mother of my child. She should accept that." Zack explained.

Alex chuckled. "Why would she hate Sunday?"

"I don't even know, man. I don't even know. " Zack responded. "It's complicated. Like, she got hurt because she feels that Sunday doesn't want her around."

Lisa hummed. "You know, I think Holly is jealous."

Zack frowned. "Why would she even be jealous?"

"A girl can sense things, Zack." Alex told his friend as he chopped the lettuce. "But I don't know what she sensed. You should ask her."

Zack shook his head. "No. Can I sleep here for the night? I'm not in the mood to see her. She can't find me here. She doesn't know your location."

Alex and Lisa nodded their head. "Sure. If that will help you sleep tonight."

Alex was now done making some tacos, and the three of them ate in silent.

Zack wonders if Holly and him should break up. Will it do him good? Will it do her good?

All he knows is that he needs peace tonight and doesn't even want to deal with Holly.

Zack purposely left his phone at his house so that he wouldn't be annoyed with Holly's constant texting and calling.

"Man, should I break up with her?" Zack asked the two who were now cleaning the table.

Alex faced his friend, confusion was etched on his face. "Why, man? It's just a fight. It happens to couples."

"I don't know. I think it just doesn't feel right that she doesn't feel comfortable with Sunday. It will always affect Stella."

Affect. Affection.
