You were killed by Dream using [Nightmare]

"You know, when you invited me to your server this is not what I had in mind," complained Mint.

"Sounds like a you problem," said Dream, once again killing Mint.

"Please... please stop." Mint asked half-heartedly.

"Congratulations, you're canonically dead and can't interfere with anything unless I want you to."

"Was that necessary?"

"No, but I enjoyed it."

""At the very least can you reimburse me for my suffering Mr Dream?" Mint asked.

"Consider this a one-off gift," Dream said, dropping a completely OP axe on the floor alongside unenchanted Netherite armour, "Be careful to never to cross me."

"Geez, sugar daddy vibes much?" Mint laughed.

Dream exclaimed his classic, "What!?" And failed at forming any other words.

Mint: I'm guessing you might want me to join vc2

"Twitch streamer MintMelody, how are you my friend?" Said Tommy in a very TommyInnit way.

"I have joined this server for one reason, and one reason alone. To laugh at your exile," stated Mint.

"That doesn't seem like a nice thing to do,"

"Tough luck mate, now show me your shitty house," Maelynn commanded.

The trip through the Nether was shorter than she thought it would be, if you ignored the time both her, Tommy, and Dream all fell off the path and took a extra-long detour.

"Oh- oh my gosh what is that monstrosity?" Questioned Mint, looking at a wooden figure with a pumpkin head.

"How dare you? That is my girlfriend, I have Snapchat streaks with her."

Dream put in his input, "Tommy this is an embarrassing sight to see..."

"Gunna have to agree with pissbaby for that one, this is sad," laughed Mint.

"You guys suck," grumbled Tommy, "At least I have a house, you two are both homeless people!"

user1 - pffttt
user2 - lmao
user3 - homeless twins, we stan
user4 - HOME HOME
user5 - Tommy is sassy today lmao

"Well crap, suppose I'll need to make a house then, bye Tommy," said Mint

"No don't just leave I'm bored, Dream? Dream? Can I go with her?"

"Fine, but you can't go more than fifty blocks out Tommy," settled Dream.

"Does that mean I have to live with Tommy? Ew."

"Hey!"

Dream left to go and film a video, so Maelynn settled for making her small cottage in the woods behind Logstedshire, Tommy spent most of his time stealing and destroying the crafting table she was using resulting in a very dead TommyInnit.

After she had killed him he calmed down and actually helped her, she made a lovely Hobbit house with flowers on top. Tommy immediately tried to steal said flowers

A moat of lava was established rather quickly after that (she almost burnt down the forest).

"I believe that's my house done, how's it look Tommy?"

"I hate it, it's stupid and ugly."

Mint pulled out her axe.

"In other thoughts, it is quite beautiful and the lava is very pretty," hurried Tommy.

"Thank you."

"Can I come inside?"

"Tommy, you'll notice something rather peculiar about the coordinates of my front door, you see, my door lies exactly fifty-one blocks away from your house, meaning you can't enter without Dream killing you," Maelynn revealed.

Tommy let out a string of insults and splutters, "You are a horrible person, Mint, mark my words I will get revenge on you and any future pets."

"I understand, Tommy. However, you should be careful, canon lives are fleeting things," threatened Mae.

She laughed at how silly the situation was then suddenly her sight went blurry and her head felt faint, she started to painfully cough, unable to stop and breathe. Maelynn muted on discord, left the game, and ended stream, she had no time to explain - she needed to get help.

Panicking, she stumbled to her bedside table and pressed her emergency call button, which alerted her hospital who would automatically send an ambulance.

Maelynn fell onto the floor, her legs unable to support herself any longer, the floor rushed towards her and then suddenly she was gone.

Mint left the game

"Haha, I think her router died, I'll message her and ask," laughed Tommy to his chat.

Hey, you okay? Did your internet cut off?
Mint?

Swirling patches of light danced around her vision, she felt a plastic mask covering her face as the ambulance rattled beneath her, her throat started to seize up again and she began to cough and shake.

The plastic oxygen mask was suddenly covered in red splotches as she dipped in-and-out of consciousness. Something was injected into her arm and she found herself fading away.

Maelynn woke with disorientation, unsure where she was, she looked to her left and met eyes with her stressed-looking father.

"You were bought here five hours ago, and have lost consciousness quite a few times. Thankfully, you're much more stable now, hun," her father spoke softly.

Maelynn's words were broken and raspy, "Wh- what happened?"

"Dr O'Connor said that your body isn't responding to the chemotherapy well, your body was far too weak to handle the stress of it all, an-" Her dad's voice broke, but he continued on, "-and although it reduced the cancer, if you take any more chemo treatments, your body might not be able to sustain itself anymore."

"Oh." Maelynn didn't know what to even think, the chemotherapy was the one thing combating her cancer's growth, without it she had nothing keeping it at bay.

She felt so helpless.

Dr O'Connor knocked at the door then entered, "Maelynn, Steve, I've consulted with Dr. Hartley and she agrees that chemotherapy is no longer an option for yo-"

"What about radiotherapy? Couldn't that work?" Maelynn was desperate for any solution other than the surgery.

"Radiotherapy is rarely used for any thyroid cancer, it likely wouldn't have much of an impact on you other than slowing the cancer. Besides, I am not confident your body could withstand that amount of stress with your current outlook," said the doctor.

"So what do I do?"

You can have a Thyroidectomy, it's minimally invasive, and directly targets removing the tumour. I understand your hesitancy, but you need this surgery Maelynn," Dr O'Connor pressed.

"What's the gist of the surgery?" Asked Maelynn's dad.

Dr O'Connor explained, "The procedure itself is around two hours, a small incision is made at the base of the neck and the thyroid glands are removed, as well as any other problematic tissue. You'd be looking at two or three weeks recovery,"

Maelynn's dad was concerned, "With Maelynn's current state, would she be okay to have the surgery?"

"I won't lie, she is very weak so there would be concerns about whether or not her body will be strong enough, however, I believe if we give her a week of recovery the surgery would be safer with less potential of serious side effects," Dr O'Connor said.

Maelynn zoned out after this, falling into her own terrified thoughts as her dad and Dr O'Connor spoke. Everything was so complicated and stressful.

It was almost 2 am and Maelynn was exhausted, "Dad, can we talk about this tomorrow? I'm tired."

"Of course Mae, take it easy and rest up, bonne nuit ma petit soleil," Maelynn's dad bid her goodnight.

"I'll check in with you tomorrow morning Maelynn, if you need anything press the button and a nurse will come," said Dr O'Connor.

She quickly checked her laptop that her dad had left on the table for her. Maelynn looked at her Twitter, since streaming with all the various famous content creators, her platforms had blown up, after the DreamSMP among us stream she'd doubled her already massive following. She now had 434k followers on Twitch and 171.7k followers on Twitter. She could barely even comprehend those numbers, let alone figure out how to interact with so many people.

Her Twitter had blown up with mentions since she disappeared on stream hours ago, the memes of her router being shit were flooding her feed. She smiled softly, at least she didn't freak anyone out, however, she still wanted to clarify her situation on why she wasn't able to stream for a while.
