Please enter your request in the comments section of this chapter using the form below. Can't wait to see what you've got! (Oh and if I change the form after you've posted a request, don't worry about updating your request or anything, the one you have is still valid. I'll just probably keep editing the form for a while as I think of things.)
Form:
☆ Author
☆ Title
☆ Genre
☆ 1-2 sentence summary
☆ Current word count & completion status
☆ Type of edit (developmental, line, or copy*) – NOTE: I will take your request into consideration, but if you request line or copy and the book's not ready, I'm not going to waste my time with the grammar. This portion may be addressed through inline comments on your story so I can be more specific about examples and details.
☆ Focus (character arcs, pacing, plot, etc.) – this portion may also be addressed through inline comments. You can delete them when I'm done if you don't want non-positive feedback laying around in your comments section or if you've fixed the typo/focus of the comment or whatnot. Sometimes keeping constructive feedback in the comments will encourage other readers to follow suit, though, if you want more substantive feedback from your commenters.
And it would be nice if you could tag a few people, but it's not required.
*Developmental edits = bigger picture, story critique, macro-edit suggestions.
*Line edits = sentence structure, flow, syntax, wording, micro-edits, smaller nitpicks.
*Copy edits = last run-throughs for grammar and punctuation.
Editing is to be done in this order pretty much exclusively; don't ask me to correct all your grammar if your story isn't finalized and you're going to end up changing it anyway.
