18. What Are They Talking About?

Jungkook's POV

It's been a few days since that thunder incident happened, we both talked about it afterwards and finally agreed on a decision; leave it be and treat that incident as a "friendly comfort", sounds stupid right? I mean what kind of friendly comfort is that; you both hugged each other and with his face BURRIED IN MY NECK, INHALING MY SCENT, and what's worse is we're both GUYS, how do you call that "friendly"? But eh, it was his decision so i just agreed.

"Is it just me or is it getting weirder and weirder here?" Jimin suddenly stated as we walk down to class.

"What do you mean?" i asked.

"I keep hearing these gossips and whispering everytime i walk pass by some students..." he replied.

"Gossips like?"

"How weird that I'm here and some even talking about reincarnation, some students stare at me too.." he pouted. "IS IT A BAD IDEA THAT I TRANSFERED TO THIS SCHOOL?😭😭" he added as my eyes widen.

"N-No no! It's not a bad idea nor a wrong decision!" i exclaimed as he looks at me. "I-I'm actually...glad you did..." i added shyly.

He looked away and pursed his lips to hide his smile.

"W-Why?" he asked.

"Cause..." i started. "You're a...really great...f-friend...if you didn't transfer here i...wouldn't have such a great friend like you..." i bit my lip as i finish speaking.

Lies.

All lies.

Ever since you came here my life changed, i became happy again, it's like I'm with Jimin hyung again, you made me happy again. My heart starts fluttering again, i feel these butterflies on my stomach again.

That's why.

"O-Oh..." he stated. "Well you're such a great...f-friend too..." he added making me smile. "But I'm still curious about the gossips tho" he added.

I sighed softly as the bell rings.

"Meet me at the school rooftop later at lunch time, I'll tell you everything you need to know about those gossips." I stated as i walk inside the room, leaving him standing there, confused, yet nervous at the same time.

"Why do i feel weird about this?" Jimin asked himself as he walked inside the room too.

*In the room*
Namjoon's POV

"Did i make a good decision?" Jungkook suddenly asked as he sits beside me.

"You really need to stop these sudden questions, I don't even know how to answer you, can you please tell me what happened first?" i replied rolling my eyes as i turn to look at the book i was holding.

"Jimin-hyung and I were talking on our way here, he said he keeps hearing gossips and whispers about him transferring here and some reincarnation shit, and i told him to meet me at the school's rooftop at lunch and tell him everything he needs to know about those gossips.." he replied as i widen my eyes a little putting the book down.

"Don't you think you're being too fast and letting him know already?" Yoongi hyung turned around asking Jungkook.

"I have no choice! If i tell him to ignore it it'll be impossible for him to do that, those gossips will just pile up in his head and that'll just make him more curious, i know he'll do anything to get the answer he wants" Jungkook replied.

"And you badly wanted to give him those answers you didn't even realize that if you did tell him he might distance himself away from you." i stated making him quiet. "You might be asking why, Kook if he finds out that he looks, sounds, and acts and has the exact name as your boyfriend who's now dead, did you actually think he wouldn't find it weird?" i added.

"I just thought he was being too fast on letting him know but why would he be weirded out tho?" Jin hyung asked.

"Cause he might think that Jungkook himself finds it weird and distance himself away from him, or worse, he might think that you just became friends with him because he reminds you of your dead boyfriend and might think that that's the reason why you're sticking with him 24/7" i explained making him look down.

Jungkook's POV

He has a point.

What if he thinks that that's the reason why i became his friend in the first place?

Wait...

Was it the reason why..?

Cause if he were someone else, honestly...i wouldn't...care...

*sigh* Jeon wtf..

"Well what do you want me to do?" i asked as i sigh.

"There's nothing we can do, you already asked him to go and meet you at the rooftop." Namjoon hyung stated making me sigh once more.

"You've got two choices" Yoongi hyung suddenly stated. "Either you make up a reason for him to believe, or honestly tell him everything. But we warned you about the possibilities that could happen Kook." he added.

And now I'm stuck.

The prof arrived and start discussing but I'm just staring blankly at the floor.

What should i do?

I don't want him to distance himself...

But i don't want to lie to him either...

I stared at the floor for a couple more minutes until i finally made my mind.

God...
