Chapter Four

I stood in front of Scott, not knowing what to say.

They know.

They are going to kill me.

"They chose you.. because you are the perfect target. They want to take advantage of your gift and manipulate it in the arena. They'll make you do things, to save your father."

"What do I have to do?" I asked determinedly.

"I don't know.. Win?"

"Like that's going to happen." I say rolling my eyes.

"Until then, we need sponsors." He said taking a step forward. I stared at the ground as I got a headache.

"This is pathetic" I whisper with tears of anger in my eyes.

Scott kissed me and I pushed him back.

"Does it look like I'm in the mood to be kissed right now, Scott?" The tears had now fallen from my eyes and trailed down my cheeks- making a pink line. I noticed my voice cracked. I hated this.. This feeling of weakness and inferiority.

I sat down on the couch, and tried to calm down. Scott wrapped his arms around me.

"We are going to be okay." he whispered into my ear.

"No.. We won't." I said sighing pulling back and pressing my lips against his.

We turned on the tv, and snuggled while we watched the Tributes.

District One:
Ayana is 19 years old, has won 5 hunger games before. She has short curly black and brown hair, and green eyes, freckles across her nose and golden brown skin. She throws knives.
Kyton is 17 years old, has won 2 hunger games but is known for having a track record of killing animals. He has long red hair, blue eyes, pale skin and a scar across his right eye.

District Two:
Kiona is 13 years old, she is very skiddish and has straight blonde hair, brown eyes and tanned skin. She is a psychic.
Brandon is 11 years old, rather chubby might I add. He has brown skin, black curly hair, and brown eyes. He has no skill but people will pity him. Poor kid.

District Three:
Two twins Patricia and Patrick. Creepily they have the same red hair, green eyes, freckled skin, and are each healers. But they also cut people. They are 15 years old.

District Four:
Olivia has long blue hair, pale skin, and dark blue eyes, in the sun they turn purple thus getting her nickname "The Seeing Eye." She is strong, for an 11 year old.
Winston has brown hair, blue eyes, and tan skin. He is good with a bow and arrow, and is witty. The only thing that'll get him by is his good looks.

District Five:
Madrid is 14 years old, he has long brown hair ( long enough for an annoying ponytail ), brown eyes and pale skin. He has one leg, and a glass eye. A health advantage, and is creepy.
Jennifer is 12 years old, she has short brown hair, brown eyes, and pale skin. She can climb trees and is a good fighter. I notice scars and burns up and down her left ankle.

I dosed off after that.

Probably not the best idea because these are the people who are going to kill me.

Oh well.

I heard a soft whisper above me, after someone kissed my forehead.
