chapter 21

Jermaine's POV

I still cannot believe that she snapped like that, I was completely lost, Ja'Zyion explained everything to me and from that point I wanted her you out of the crib. "Ayye, I need you to go, why did y'all bring her here anyway?" I said once I came back inside the house from checking on ZaLeynah.

"We are aware of the back history however, she is an important key factor right now." The detective said looking at us. "Look, please just hear me out, please" the lady said on the verge of tears. "Okay" I said slowly trying to figure out what the hell was happening. If this lady had anything to do with Azure missing I just might let ZaLeynah fall off in that ass again. "Well first I need to address you" she said looking in ZaLeynah's direction. "What the-" she began to say before the lady cut her off. "Please, I swear, I'm only trying to help, and the situation didn't happen how you think" she pleaded, looking at us all. "Go ahead" ZaLeynah responded finally looking at her. She took a deep breath before she began to talk again.

"Okay. My name is Tianna, not Brandy. Rico didn't like my name so he made me answer to Brandy, which explains the name situation. When I met Rico he was very nice, sweet, and kind. That all changed once we got married. He cheated on me, even bringing the women to the house, he was verbally mentally and physically abusive, he was extremely violent and always threatening. He rapped me along with his best friend for money which was the night I conceived my son. For the entire pregnancy he told me if my child wasn't his that he'd kill the baby. Thank God, he was the father. He told my son that I was a whore, which I am not, my child thinks his father is the king of the world, he doesn't listen to me at all. When he met Zaynah I was jealous because she was the the first and only woman to actually get him to fall in love with her and leave me. He moved into her house and only came by my place every blue moon just to have sex and make sure no other man had been in the house. When he molested Azure, he told me that none of that actually happened.  He told me that Zaynah was upset because he told her he was leaving her and coming back home to me. When she died, he actually cried, I thought he was hurt, I didn't find out until months later he was behind it, I didn't kill her, I've never killed anybody a day in by life. Until recently I didn't know what actually happened. He explained that he had molested Azure numerous of times before getting caught. He said that he didn't rape her, he was having sex. He claimed Azure asked for it because she was so pretty. Ricardo is extremely sick in the head, like it makes no since whatsoever. I know what it's like to lose loved ones, have them taken from you without you being able to say goodbye properly. Please believe me, I had nothing to do with your sisters death, I swear on my life." Tianna said crying. ZaLeynah stood up and I stood too along with JaZyion thinking she was going to hit her again, but she surprised me by hugging Tianna tightly and crying with her. "Thank you, you've gotten me closer to closure, all this time I thought you were the one that killed her, that was the story the police gave us, they said they couldn't fins you." ZaLeynah said still holding her. "After some investigation, we found the police involved with that case were dirty cops, they knew all along that Tianna here had nothing to do with it, they were sent to you with that bogus story so Ricardo would be off the hook. We've fond information and evidence to link him to that homicide now. We also gave Tianna a lie detector test to prove she's telling the truth about everything." The detective said to everybody.

"That's great" ZaLeynah said full blown crying now. " Okay, now to why I really came. I have information, I think on Azure. My son a while ago went to the club she works and tried to rape her, I believe his father put him up to it. I know for certain her son's father was in contact with my son" Tianna said looking at me. My hand clenched, I want to beat Kennard's ass so fucking bad man, why didn't I think of him before? And Rico, this bitch just don't give you does he?

"Now, we have solid proof of Ricardo Jr, Ricardo Sr, and Kennard have been in contact with one another for the past few months. Phone conversations and they've both been to visit him in the prison over the course of the previous mobths, starting from three months before Azure's disappearance. We have an undercover cop on the inside getting information on Ricardo Sr to help out case as well. We don't have proof that they took her, however, we are pretty certain that they somehow are involved if not behind this." Detective Riley said passing out papers to us with information on them. "Miss Tianna here has agreed to go into the lions den" Riley said looking around the room at everybody. "What do you mean" Karleynah asked. "Basically I am going to get in contact with my" she took a deep breath. "Sorry, with Rico Sr and get all the incriminating evidence that I can from him, and then get to Azure, and get her to safety be returned to you all. It may be dangerous for me, but I would rather die trying to save her than let something further happened to her. Ricardo has ruined her life enough as it is. He has to be stopped, I know in my heart he did this, I have taken enough bullshit from him, it's time that I fight back, this is how I will fight back. I'm willing to give up my life, in turn for Azure's" Tianna said standing in the middle of the living room.

After the detectives let the house, I went to the grocery store with Ja'Zyion, Bobby, and Amarion to get food for the ladies to cook. We decided to just have a home cooked family dinner in the house instead of going out. ZaLeynah suggested that Tianna and her childhood friend Josh stay and she wouldn't take no for an answer. She ended up apologizing to Tianna who accepted and told her that she didn't have to apologize because she deserved it for not saying something sooner. After everybody had eaten we sat around talking, watching tv, and the kids played until they fell asleep. I'm happy, I feel like everything is now coming together. Soon, we'll have my baby back home where she belongs!

We had a family prayer before everybody dismissed themselves and headed back to their homes and I couldn't wipe the smile off of my face at the thought is having my queen back in my arms!
