Laura Marano was a mess. Life afterAustin and Ally wasn't turning out the way she planned. She wanted to release more music on her own, and she wanted to star in movies. The thing was, she got dropped from her label, and none of the scripts that came her way enticed her. She was running out of work fast and running out of patience faster.
The only happiness she had was from Ross Lynch. He was her best friend in the whole wide world, and he always made her days brighter. She didn't know when her feelings started turning more romantic for him, but she soon couldn't deny the attraction between them. The only thing that stood in between her and Ross was Courtney Eaton, Ross's girlfriend. And Laura definitely wasn't going to break them up just because she had feelings for him.
On the night of Ross's birthday party, Laura was given a sign. One of Ross's songs played while she drove to his house. That had to mean something, right? Nothing went according to Laura's plans. Instead of him breaking up with Courtney, he proposed to her.
Laura was devastated. She thought Ross would somehow be hers and everything would work out the way it should have been. Of course, she was wrong. She was always wrong. After witnessing the proposal, Laura ran away from them. She couldn't handle the heartbreak.
That was when everything changed. Laura Marano got hit by a car, sending her into a coma for four years. And after four years, she miraculously woke up. However, this miracle was tainted with heartache. She couldn't remember her life before the accident. All she knew was that she was Laura, just Laura.
Just Laura didn't know how much she could take with all these people trying to get her to remember. There was Ross, who claimed to be her best friend. Then there was Vanessa, her sister. Raini and Calum, her supposed ex-costars, were better to her about her memory than Ross and Vanessa, but they still were trying to get her to remember everything.
She didn't think she could remember what happened before, and she was so tired of those people forcing themselves into her new life. Laura took matters into her own hands to create this new life.
