I walked back down the corridor from the bathroom, still softly smiling at the memory of what had happened in my room the day before. I guess it's true when they say boys only pick on girls when they have a crush on them, because it certainly seemed to be that way in the situation I was currently in. Yes, he had been mean to me for years, yes he slept with countless girls and yes he was friends with the biggest group of assholes on the planet but I couldn't help how I felt. I didn't like like him and I certainly wasn't falling for him but now when I was around him, I just wanted to tear his clothes off.

Everybody thought I was such an innocent girl who had no clue about anything other than academics and books but it wasn't true. I'd been with a guy for the duration of one summer break back home a few years back and he wasn't exactly a soccer player or even the type of guy who got with a lot of girls at all; he had been more like me, but he'd never had me feeling like I currently did.

'Gabriella?' I walked back into my room to find my roommate shoving clothes into a huge duffel bag. 'Are you leaving?'

'Yes,' she replied, with a panicked tone. 'My mother is on her way for me.'

'You can't just leave halfway through the school year,' I told her.

'I have to!' she barked.

'Margo will not approve this,' I stated.

'Margo isn't going to know, I'm going to sneak out,' she muttered, zipping up her case.

'Look, whatever you've done, whatever it is you have going on with Chloe, I'm sure you can talk to her and fix it,' I said.

'Oh, will you just stay the fuck out of it!' she yelled, twisting her face at me. 'We aren't friends, stop pretending to give a shit!'

I shook my head slowly and shrugged. 'Fine. Can I ask you something before you go?'

'What?' she asked, sharply, studying my face curiously. I never asked her anything.

'Do you have Conrad Coleman's number?' I asked, nervously.

'Yeah, why?' she answered.

'I really need those notes back from him tonight but I can't find him,' I lied.

'Whatever,' she said, swiping her phone and handing it to me. 'He's in my contacts.'

I thanked her and scrolled through her contact list until I found him and I quickly jotted his number down on my notepad before I placed her phone back down on her bed where she was still packing up.
