Cold

I woke up in the nurses office.. great.

I sat myself up and looked around the room.

Other than a crusty old chair there wasnt anyone here.

"Hello?" My voice cracked.

I heard a faint high pitched voice call back to me: "One minuet dear."

The fu- she called me DEAR-

A shorter woman with dark skin and pink dyed hair rushed in with a mask on.

"Oh good you're awake." she sighed in a VERY thick country accent.

"Can I just get an Advil and go to detention already." I got up and dusted myself off just to see a disgusted look on her face.

"Absolutely not, you just passed out 30 minuets ago!" She barked.

"Chill. I have low iron. Thats in my blood." haha get it-

She tilted her head in a confused way.

"Im fine." I bluntly said.

"If you say so, here drink this water" She handed me a bottle.

"And theres some pain killer.." She tossed it to me.

"Thanks." I yawned, not in a rude way, I was just tired.

I drank the water, took the pill, and headed out.

Gosh I hope I didn't scare Peter...

"GOOD LORD-" I gasped when I saw him waiting outside of the nurses office.

"JAE YOURE OK?" He asked me quickly examining me.

"I, am fine, I have to go to detention before we train, you ready?" I asked him, while I was pointing to his backpack.

"Yeah, ok lets go." His little worried voice.. so cute.
We walked together through the quiet halls. Peaceful.
Upon arrival to the room it was in, I gave Peter a very awkward smile.
"First time ever getting detention." I gave him a thumbs up.
I watched him struggle as He tried not to laugh.
We both walked in and I sat in the back right next to him.
Captain America was on the tv- lecturing us about detention and such.
The teacher was pretty much asleep in the corner, and everyone else was minding their own business, so I started talking to Peter.
"Ya know, I'm pretty sure Cap wouldn't do that now." I joked with him.
Peter looked around the room to see if it was safe to say something.. "I took his shield once." He whispered to me.
My eyes widened.
"Seriously? So cool-"
"I know, I just dropped down and was like hey guys!"
"I wanna do that.." I whispered back to him.
"You'll get a chance.. maybe."
And from that point on, Peter and I talked about random stuff till detention was over.
.
.
.
Peter dragged me to an alleyway, where we both quickly got into our suits.
Damn he was toned.
I look like a blob fish-
"Jae, I'm gonna take you to one of my favorite spots, you just need to swing along." He told me through our suit intercom thing.
I feel illegal wearing such an expensive piece of equipment.
"Ok, uh-" I pointed to a top area of a building and swung up there, but I pointed somewhere else while I was in mid air, so I was pretty much just swinging like last time.
"Jae! You're a natural!" Peter laughed excitedly.
"Haha, you told me that last time."
"Well- still."
I did a couple flips dodging billboards and such, I felt like a goddess.
The rain made everything so much better too.
"The spot is one block away." Peter told me.
He turned around to see if I was still behind him.
That's adorable.
"Ok right..... here!" He webbed to the top of a building.
I swung to him at the top.
We were both breathing heavily, but I don't think it was for the same reason.
I climbed down off of the antenna and sat next to him.
He took off his mask, and I could see the little curls that would form cause he was a lill sweaty boi.
I pulled off my mask too, to get some fresh air.
He turned to look my direction and our eyes met.
"Jae?"
...
Those beautiful brown eyes oh my lord.
"Yes?" I breathed out.
"Your cheeks, are like, really red, are you sure you're feeling alright?" He moved himself closer to me.
I looked down at the city for a second to think.
*still raining*
"No, I think I have a cold." I sighed.
"We should get you home to Mr. Stark then, I don't want you getting worse." He got up quickly, and seemed to be worried.
"Peter I'm fine." I reassured him.
"No you aren't." He simply said, and webbed me to him and he swung me across the city.
"PETER I CAN DO IT MYSELF."
"I'm gonna keep you safe, because who knows you could pass out mid air."
I watched the cars below me honk and people with their cameras started to pop up.
"Thank god my mask is on." I sighed.
"Yeah, thank me for bringing you home."
Peter brought me to the house. Still holding me to his side.
He was right, I didn't really feel good at all.
He walked me up to the front door, and he knocked urgently.
"Peter it's-"
"No. I've studied this stuff enough to know it's not ok." His worried voice echoed in my ears.
Happy opened the door to see me and Peter in our suits, except I was limp and wobbly.
"Peter did you get her DRUNK." Happy brought us in quickly and pulled Peter aside.
At that point I was laying on the floor, wet and cold.
"No, she's sick!" Peter pointed to me who was attempting to get up but my body felt too heavy.
Happy saw me, pathetically trying to stand up.
"TONY!"
.....

"What's going on over here-" I heard him somewhat sprint to us by the door.
"What happened to her?" He pointed at me.
The expression on his face was a mix of anger and worry.
"Mr Stark, she's sick, she really needs help." Peter explained.
I'm just sitting there at this point, sweating although I was freezing.
"Why the hell are you doofuses standing there? Quick bring her to the lab!" Tony ordered.

"Mr Stark, I don't feel so good." I somehow got out those words.
"I know kid, I know."
"Can I rest?"
I saw Peters eyes widen.
"You can rest." Tony reassured me.
I laid back on a operating table where they ran tests on me while I was sleeping.
I thought it was just a cold, but this wasn't just a cold. It was planned out...

When I woke up, I felt a lot better.
I propped myself up and drank some of the water Tony provided.
"What was the first thing you ate today." Tony asked me, his head was resting on his hand.
"Uhm.. gosh uh, breakfast, my friend Kacey brought it for me." I tried thinking more about what it was.
"It was a scone thingy, really dry but I didn't mind cause I just needed that to get by till lunch, and that's when I think I had a fever."
...
"Symptoms?"
"Oh gosh not normal symptoms. Everything around me shrank, my hoodie felt sharp on my skin, my eyes were blurry..."
"Friday, whos Kacey... last name?"
"Renelle."
"Kacey Renelle."
...
"Kacey Renelle doesn't exist sir."
...
"We have a problem."
