TANJIRO HAD FALLEN on the ground due to exhaustion.

Nezuko and Akari has landed on the ground with a thud.

"N-Nezuko...A-Akari..." Tanjiro said quietly trying to get to the two. "I won...I d-did it..."

Tanjiro had stood up but his vision was blurry and he felt dizzy immediately. His chest was hurting and there was a ringing in his ears.

But that didn't stop him. He used the last of his strength to crawl to the two demons.

Tanjiro froze as he smelled the scent of blood. Except it didn't smell like ash.

Behind him was Rui's body without the head walking towards him.

"You thought you defeated me. How sad for you. Did you delusion bring you a brief moment of joy? I cut my head of myself using my threads before you were able to do so yourself. Enough struggling. I'll kill you and your sister and bring your lover with me. I haven't been this angry in a long time." Rui said watching Tanjiro crawl towards Nezuko and Akari.

"I wonder why you weren't burned in the explosion. Me and my threads were the only thing set ablaze. And in that moment I had felt the worst pain in my whole life. I don't know if it's your sister and your lover's power but it has enraged me all the same." Rui said his hands turning blood red with dark res strings emerging. "Now I'm going to carve you up without regret."

"Kekkijustu, Murderous Eye Basket!" Rui said a red web cage surrounded him.

The webs flew down onto him and cut his hands, back, legs, etc.

But the pain was gone as the webs were cut.

"You did a good job holding off till I got here. Now leave the rest to me." A familiar man said.

"Your like an endless torrent of insects constantly getting in my way. Kekkijustu, Cutting Thread Rotation!"

Large red webs erupted heading towards the man.

But was instantly deflected.

"THAT CANNOT BE! I'LL TRY IT AGAIN!" Rui yelled but before he could blink again his head was cut off.

Tanjiro has crawled towards the two and when he reached them he has covered them both with his arms.

Rui's body had staggered towards the trio. Reaching for them. His body has fallen right next to them. Giving a scent of grief.

Tanjiro's eyes watered and he reached his hand and put it on the back of the body. Giving Rui and warm feeling.

But as the body withered away a foot had landed on the kimono Rui once wore.

"Don't waste your sympathy. He was a demon. Just cause he looked like a child makes no difference. It lived for decades. Terrorizing our people." The man said.

"If it's for the sake of avenging those who were killed to make sure there are no more victims, I won't hesitate to bring my blade down on any demons neck. But when it comes to those who feel despair and regret from the actions they took as a demon. I will never disrespect them. Because at one time or another they were human. No different from me! So please don't step on his remains! They are not hideous monsters at all! Instead demons are hopeless creatures, tragic creatures." Tanjiro explained.

The man looked down but his eyes widened as he remembered the day when he found this hopeless boy and two very special demons.

But he turned his head as he heard running. He put his foot out and deflected a blade that was coming towards the three.

"Oh my...why would you get in my way Tomioka-san? And after you told me we could never be friends with demons. I have to say, this is why no one likes you." The butterfly lady said.

"Now then Tomioka-san. Would you please move?" She asked.

"I'm not...I'm not disliked by people." The man names Tomioka said.

"Oh dear. I apologize your only just hearing about this now? I'm sorry I didn't mean for you to find out this way." The lady said again. "Boy!"

"Yes mam?" Tanjiro replied.

"What you're protecting their are demons! So please move away before you get hurt!"

"No you're mistaken! Well not really. She's my little sister and this one is my lover!" Tanjiro explained.

"Oh my...is that so? You poor thing." The lady covered her mouth. "In that case, I'll use a sweet poison so they won't suffer."

Nezuko's eyes had fluttered opened. She looked up at her brother who was holding her in his arms and then looked at Akari who was laying on the ground but Tanjiro had a strong grip on her sleeve.

"Nezuko...!" Tanjiro had said.

"Can you move? Even if it's difficult you need to go take your sister and your lover and run." The man instructed.

"Tomioka-san...thank you I appreciate this! Nezuko!" Tanjiro yelled picking up Akari in his arms as Nezuko followed.

The three went though the forest finding Nezuko's box and picking it up.

They kept running until Tanjiro was kicked to the ground. His body had landed on the ground with Akari under him. He wrapped his arms around her head protecting her.

Nezuko stared at the two in shock until a demon slayer appeared.

"Nezuko! Run away as fast as you can! Don't get caught no matter what!" Tanjiro said then was knocked out.

THE DEMON SLAYER had chased Nezuko around until a crow had yelled.

"CAW CAW! Tanjiro and the two demons Akari and Nezuko are to be brought back to headquaters! Tanjiro dressed in a green checkered haori! Nezuko and Akari with bamboo muzzles! CAW CAW!"

1. Akari is unconicous because in my character introduction it says when she uses pain infliction she goes unconcious for a while.

2. Nezuko is worried about Akari.

3. Rui wishes he got to know the trio better.
