Katy's P.O.V.
I woke up in a cold sweat. I didn't realize I was shaking until I tried to get up. My heart was beating so fast and I was scared to death.
I took a couple of deep breaths and tried to calm down before looking around me. I was in the living room on the couch all alone. It was midday, and Helen must've went home.
I walked to the front door and it unlocked. I ran outside, or did all I could do to move my legs without looking like a retard. I was in the same clothes I was wearing in the dream.
I sat on the grass and remembered how Mark and I had been sitting together on the grass a couple of nights ago. I remembered how I believed him and let go of the past. I started sobbing with my face between my knees. I couldn't remember anytime this year when I wasn't sobbing.
- January, I broke up with a guy on New Year's Day.
-February, I almost failed each and every subject in school.
- March, same as February.
- April, I almost got kicked out of school.
- May, I had a desperate crush on Mark.
- June, Mark and I hooked up, probably the only month I didn't cry so much in.
- July, that incident in the forest happened. Also, I was trying to get over Mark.
- August, I was trying to get over Mark.
- September, Mark and I were back together for less than a day, then I found out he was cheating on me. Then came the whole stupid hospital issue, and now I'm like the saddest girl on Earth.
WHAT IS LIFE?

John's P.O.V.

~3PM~
I'm on my way back home with Katy's favorite food ever- sushi. I was expecting her to be on the couch, but she wasn't there.
-" Katy! Where are you?" I said as I searched for her.
Then I heard the slightest whisper coming from outside.
-" I'm here. I'm okay. " she said.
I searched for her outside, and she was there. Laying in the fetal position was the most miserable creature I've ever seen. Her eyes were puffy, and she didn't bother to even get changed.
I placed the plate of sushi on the grass, then sat down.
-" Hey Kate! Look what I've got for you! Are you hungry?" I asked her cheerfully.
She didn't reply.
-" Did you have breakfast?" I asked.
She shook her head.
-" Well, maybe some sushi would be helpful! I know you absolutely LOVE IT! Am I right? " I asked her.
-" I'm fine. I'm not hungry. " she mumbled.
-" Oh, come on! Just a bite?"
-" Fine. "
She couldn't resist eating sushi. I knew she loved it.
Using chopsticks, I picked a sushi and stuffed it in Katy's mouth. I repeated what I did over and over again until she claimed she couldn't eat anymore. She lay down and placed her head on my legs in the shadow of the oak tree. She held my hand and fell asleep. I carried her to her bed, covered her well, and went to finish my chores and homework.
I was done by 8. I called Sam and invited her to come over and have dinner with us. Maybe Katy would open up to her and she'll feel better afterwards!
I went to Katy's room and tried to wake her up, but she groaned and covered her ears with her hands.
-" Katy! Sam's coming over for dinner! " I said, trying to cheer her up.
-" But I don't feel like getting up.." She complained.
-" Well then, don't !" I said as I carried an extremely light Katy to the dining room. She didn't fight back or anything. She didn't move a limb.
Just as I put her down on a chair, the doorbell rang. I started to get up to welcome Sam in , but Katy got up instead and I followed her. She slowly cracked the door open. Just the tiniest crack. She peeked outside and froze in terror. I tried to fully open the door, but she pushed me away and slammed the door. She ran to her room at top speed and I heard the door lock.
I opened the door slowly. I looked outside, and I saw .. Mark.
