Things at home carried a certain amount of uncertainty for the next week. Although we had talked about everything during our last conversation. Would any of us be able to put it into action? The latter tension from before Copia left the house has gone and was replaced with calm after the storm. I felt the energy of unease seep through the crack of the walls and in replace fill up with a sense of admiration? Appreciativeness? Why?  Probably for being brave enough to bring up the conversation. Even then there was a lingering unease about where do we go from here.

Do Mira and Neta still trust Copia? Where do Copia and I stand in all of this? Although I had all these questions in my head I refused for them to get in the way of what I was building with them. I had hoped that we could transcend the situation and build a better foundation.

A couple of weeks pass by. And on Thursday, I came home to find we had visitors. Lots of them.

I even had to park across the street for parking because behind Mira's car, a big black RV and three other cars sprawled out of our short ass driveway, blocking our garage.

All the cars were black and on the side of them was a gold symbol that said, " Creek In the Isti". A black truck was pulled into the driveway, towing an enormous black trailer. The words Creek In the Isti" were painted across the side in gold lettering on the side of the RV. The circular gold symbol around the words was an Aligator biting its own tail.

What a clever take on the snake circle. I wonder who came up with that or what it meant. Wait a minute, this was not the first time I had seen this before. I felt a tug on my brain, the closer I got to the RV, my brain fog lifted. Of course! It was the same image tattooed on Copia's ankle. I remembered that the Isti was also tattooed on the inside of Copia's wrist.

As I walked up the path I could hear music coming from the backyard. I was missing a party. I walked through the house to the back yard where I found a group of 12 strangers. There were various arrays of shaved heads, chokers, beercans, punk makeup, and tatted. Half of them could rival Emanuel with their muscles. Did a punk workout shoot come to my backyard and why wasn't I notified?

I could have worn that one distressed dress with fishnets that's in my closet. Do I have enough time to put on makeup? Continuing to survey the yard, I spotted Copia in a group of 3. And by the way, she laughed and squeezed their arms, I knew these people were here for her.

These strangers were sitting on various benches we had scattered around our backyard. They brought the firepit into the middle of the yard and started a bonfire in the metal pit. It was my first time seeing a roaring fire in the middle of our backyard. We had never used that thing since I'd been here. Some were sitting and stretching out their legs from the porch, others were at the grill and the rest were by the fire.

"Heyyyy!" I heard Mira say. I scanned through the crowd to find her at the grill talking to one of the guests. He was maybe the shortest of the group though still was towering of the five-foot Mira. He wasn't exactly short, clearly at least 5,11 , but he was baby-faced,maybe the youngest. He was flipping burgers with ease, perfectly at home. I smiled at Mira and then something caught my attention.

I saw Copia on the far end of the yard still talking to the same three. Her eyes connected to mine and she nodded, acknowledging I arrived before returning to her conversation. No smile for me though, like how she did so effortlessly in her little group of three.  Hmmm, is that what I should expect? I am just below satisfied that she didn't sneer at me like before.

Then I thought, hmm could those days be behind us? I started walking into the house passing Mira. Her eyes lit up when she saw me. " 'Scuse me, one minute." She said to the short guy she was talking to. I reached out to her as she reached out for my waist to pull me in for a quick kiss. My hand slid across her arm before we pulled back, " I'm just going to put my stuff down. I'll be right back."
