I never promise to leave but take you with me to tour our own little country
Let's enjoy our promises made to the public on the twentieth largest island on earth
I will roam with you on Emerald isle even if we don't get to take an emeraldLet's join the riverdance while enjoying the wet air even if we dance off the beat
I don't mind playing Craic Agus Ceoil, hope you don't mind i miss a string
Baby, get wet with me in the wet summers on Ireland if it's just for a while.
I will admire you daily just like watching the snow falling out of my windowLet's feel the Vragh stone circle imagining we could also get our treasures
Let's refill our understanding by being blessed at the Gallarus oratory
Let our auras be filled with royalty and destroy those who warred against our Trim castleI don't mind writing about you in the Book of Kells
If i have to gain Nobel Prize and be great as Seamus Heaney and Máirtín Ó Direáin
Oh baby, carve our equity with bronze artefacts
Who will mind if it's noted as Neolithic carvings such as NewgrangeWith the Polaroid camera in my hands, you will be my Robert Boyle emphasising his formulations
I don't mind saluting you as the great Johannes Scotus Eriugena for his intellectualsRace with me to Mount Erebus even if I'm out of breath
With my wobbling legs, I don't mind being invited to play Gaelic football neither hurling so far you're beside me
Horse race with me sweetheart, let's see if it's worth the effort of exchange for golf matchLay with me on the sand of Donegal Bay while we watch the hunks and beauties surfing and attracting the Atlantic winds
In as much as I'm hungry for good food,
You will be my Gubbeen cheese and milk
Baby, I don't mind being drunk for you at the pub with Guinness and red lemonade while I tell everyone how much I love youLet's be like Jack and Rose at the Titanic making forbidden moments
I won't mind a long drive to the Wild Atlantic way all down to the beaches of county cork all for you
Sail with me on the royal cork of yatch club even for a silent intimacy
Bask in the sunset with me as the swans in Lough Corrib, who knows we might be fortunate that our Polaroid could capture the kingfisher. As long as you're with me, even if Ireland is an emerald isle and I didn't get any.
You will forever be my Emerald in this beautiful adventure.©DreJane
