In life, you always have a choice. A choice to accept your dream job. A choice to fall in love. A choice to accept a proposal. But with every choice, comes a sacrifice. In this world, nothing comes for free. Man always wants something in return, whether it be money or sex, the possibilities are endless. Different choices lead to different paths and can lead you to different people. I don't know what choices lead up to my mother having us or meeting that awful man. I don't have the answers yet, but I will. I just need to figure it out myself.
I sighed loudly, holding my cup of coffee tightly. I stare at the dark brown liquid, seeing my own reflection through it. When I woke up, it was four in the morning. After Kian calmed me down, we just laid there, not speaking and not moving. I didn't talk about what I saw, I only told him I saw my mother. After about another hour, he fell asleep, but I couldn't. I was too terrified of seeing them again, seeing what that bastard would do to her. So I just thought. I thought to myself about what I saw. My siblings. They were there... Does that mean that they remember everything too? Or, did they forget everything as well?
I mean, their names are different, they changed them. But why? And what for? There are too many unknowns right now... I want to know everything, but there is so little time to find everything out. I don't have enough time to figure everything out. My siblings, the Order, and the MC are on my tail right this second. We have to get to Owen before them too. I also need to figure out what they want with me all of the sudden and now... I-I don't know... my head is racing and I can't think straight with all these thoughts flying everywhere.
Ryleigh walks into the kitchen, grabbing the pot of coffee and filling a cup. "How are you feeling?" She asks, leaning against the counter with me. I raise an eyebrow in question then she takes a sip. "Kian told me when you were in the bathroom."
"It was nothing," I mumble, taking a sip.
"Nothing, Octavia? Kian said he's never seen you that scared before." She snaps, slamming her cup on the table, and drops of coffee spill on the counter.
"I said it was nothing." I defend again, looking down at her. "If I said it was nothing, it was nothing."
"Except I know that's a fucking lie!" She almost shouts, then stops herself because it is six in the morning. "Octavia, you can't start to shut everyone out when you finally found someone." I scoffed loudly, rolling my eyes. "I don't know what happened and I don't even know how you feel right now, I couldn't even imagine it, but the worst possible thing you could do is shut us out and not tell us. This will only crumble you and break you down."
