Past (no one's PoV)

Today is a special day for the village down the hill, but also for a little prince called Oikawa Tooru. It was the first time for him to visit the village and of course the seven year old boy was excited. Down the village everything was normal, except for this one little boy. A boy you wouldn't notice, but this boy was one of the most excited people for the royal family.

One of his biggest dreams is to become a knight and protect this family, in a lot of corners in the world it was common that the royal family was demanding and treated their folk like shit. But the Oikawa's, which have a long line of royal blood line back, were always kind and caring for their folk. That means they often went down to visit the village and the people living there. Talk with them about if they had problems or needed something. So the little boys biggest dream was to defend this family in future.

Also in the castle up was a lot to do, since it was the first time for the little prince to look behind the walls of the castle and royal life, he was more energetic then some other people.

"Mum, how is the village? Are the people nice? Do you think I'll make friends? Will the people like me? And-", the little boy trailed of, he wanted to know as much as possible before going down there. They were already in the carriage and his mother on besides him on the bench just chuckled. While his dad looked at him and smiled:

"Tooru, of course they'll like you. As long you're nice and careful. You know, when I was your age I also was really excited for the first time to see the village and guess who I met. Your mom, we got along really well and look at us now."

Little Tooru gasped and said excited: " So that means I could meet my future wife down there?"

His dad just laughed and smiled again. While now his mother got to word:"You also could meet your future husband, don't forget that. I know you're still young, but don't forget that family's aren't always a man and a woman, there are also two men or two women together."

"Yeah, your mother is right, like your cousin Juliet and her girlfriend."

"Mom, always is right, don't forget that dad!"

They all ended up laughing, a really lovely family.

"Tooru, your dad and I will go this way. There is an old lady we have knew for really long, but now her daughter send a letter where is written she is laying on her death bed, so we want to visit her for one last time."

"You'll be fine, just walk around on your own and explore the village, I'm pretty sure it'll be interesting for you", his dad clicked in.

And so it came that little Tooru walked around the village and was amazed by the stands where you could buy food, or rings or lucky charms that would protect you from evil spirits. He was that close to buy one when another boy tapped his shoulder, another boy in our little wanna be knight with the name Iwaizumi Hajime, as said he tapped the Tooru's shoulder and spoke up: "This are fake, everyone knows that." The cashier laughed as he recognized Hajime: "Oh it's you little Hajime, always steeling away my customers."

"I wouldn't steel them away if you would sell real ones."

"But mine aren't fake, they just don't have the power to hold back evil spirits."

"if you say so, have fun while selling!", the boy, Hajime, said.

Toorus eyes got widen of curiosity: "How did you know that these are fake?"

Hajime just shrugged his shoulders: "My mom comes from a family which knows a lot about which craft and spirits."

"Whoa, do you know where you can get real ones?"

"O course I do", little Hajime said proud.

That is how two little boys ended up in the forest sitting on a fallen tree and talking about the creatures and mysteries that live in this beautiful forest.

"And you really want to tell me that you met a fairy? How cool is that? I would love to meet one! Do you think I'll ever meet one?"

Hajime just sat there and explained a few things and listened to the boy in front of him. While the two boys were talking and laughing and joking they didn't noticed how the sun began to fade and it started to get dark.

They didn't noticed till Hajime spoke up and said: "You know, maybe today is your chance to meet a airy, if we are lucky they'll light up the forest so we can find out of the forest."

"What it's already getting dark? What if my parents forget me and and and-", Tooru started trembling and some tears slipped down his face. Hajime who doesn't really know what to do just stood there and started to say calming words like 'hey, we just go back and find your parents' or 'if start to cry like a little baby now, you'll never grow up'.

In the end they got out the forest while there was still a glimpse of sun shining. They walked down the street, Tooru still trembling, till they saw two persons.

"What if anything happened to Tooru while we were away, we shouldn't have left him all alone!", a woman said crying, besides her a men with a hand on her back. He may seemed calm, but if you looked a bit further you could also see him worrying about his missed son.

"Are these your parents?",Hajime asked.

Tooru looked up and started to smile as he recognized them:"Yes that are them! Come you should meet them!"

And with that the two little boys walked to the people and while Tooru jumped into his mothers arms and apologized a million times, Hajime just stood there, shocked that the parents of his new friends are the king and the queen, and after that realization he also came to the conclution that his new friend is a prince.

"And mom, meet Iwa-chan, he's my new friend!", Tooru said excited after he apologized.

"I said it I don't like that stupid nickname, Oikawa!", Hajime said grumpy, who cared if he was a prince, he still doesn't have privileges to call him that.

"See mom, he looks really grumpy, but in reality he's a big softie who plays with fairy's and goblins! And why do you suddenly call me Oikawa, all the time I was Tooru, don't you get it."

"I'm just trying to be respectful, I mean..."

Tooru who finally came to the conclusion why Iwa was being respectful just laughed: "Silly Iwa-chan."

"Shut up!"

Toorus parents in the background just looked at the scenario in front of them with smiles.

"By the way, Tooru, didn't you wanted a real you know what I mean."

"Yeah, but we didn't get one..."

"I can give you mine, if you want."

Tooru smiled: "Really?"

"Yeah, here", Hajime said while putting on a necklace with a shining yellow stone on Tooru.

"Bye, bye, Tooru!", he then said while running off.

"Mom, dad look!"

That was the first day they met, the day were a friendship began.
