Mia's P.O.V.
I watched his car drive away from my house. He was so fast I didn't even have the chance to say what's on my mind. I went inside then I gently closed the huge wooden doors and heard it click. I leaned on my back and sighed happily. He was so sweet. I blushed when I remembered all that he did for me this morning.
I woke up from my daydream when my phone buzzed. It was a text from him.
'Pick you up in an hour. And remember, wear something beautiful ;)'
Aw. I looked at the time in my phone. 11:36 a.m. By this time I was running. I went to my closet room to find the perfect outfit. I tried on, I think, more than 20 outfits. Nothing pleased me. I jumped on my giant bean bag and placed the throw pillow on my face and grunted. I wanted to look beautiful for him.
I stood up slowly and walked towards one of my wardrobes and looked through everything and found it. I found a pastel dress. It was strapless with an A-Line skirt. The length was exactly below my knees. I chose a cardigan to go with it. I still had 40 minutes left.
I started to fill my tub and began to put bubble bath. 3 minutes later I put my ipod on speaker and dipped in. I was savoring each note of Bach only until my phone was ringing uncontrollably. I had to pick it up if I want the peace of mind. Good thing it was near the tub.
"Yes?"
"Mia! Where are you?!" it was Ma-an.
"I'm getting ready for a date." I mean it. It was. Right? But he didn't ask me. So I lied. Period.
"You should--wait. What? Date?"
"Uh. Yeah. That's what I said." ugh. My voice was fake. There was a bit of silence. "Ma-an, close your mouth." I laughed.
"How'd you know?"
"I knew you for years!"
"Oh...uh I called for your dress for your Masquerade Ball on Halloween..."
Oh yeah! I'm having a Halloween party. I asked Ma-an to do my dress. I've been spending the whole month just preparing.
"Oh. Do I have a fitting today?" I asked her.
"Never mind the fitting. I'll just send the dress to you and you should focus on that date." she giggled.
"Okay, okay."
"Oh yeah, Jen wanted to ask about the final count for the food. Isn't 100 too much?"
"Like you wouldn't eat that much."
"Okay."
"I have to go now, Ma-an."
"Have fun!" then she hung up.
I sighed and went back to my bubble bath. A few minutes later I got out and wore my bath robe. I checked my phone. I had another text from him.
'Be there in 30 :)'
Then the voice machine was ringing. I put it on loud speaker. I had to get ready.
"Hey baby, how was the sleepover?" my mom asked.
"Fine!" I said running from place to place.
"Why are you in a rush, sweetie?"
"I have a date, mom!" I was soft-curling my hair when I realized. No. Did I just say that to her?
"Oh my gosh! My baby's all grown up!" she squealed.
"So, it's okay with you?" as I pushed my hair to one side.
