Chapter 12

Author's note: Kinda got motivated to write the next chapter today as well before I go to bed XD Also little side note: I usually don't add OC's to my fanfictions but this time I just had to XD so sorry not sorry I guess ? :P Maybe I can also draw Jayden tomorrow or so so I can show you how he looks like c: anyways enjoy uwu

Once Aloha and Army had gotten home Aloha brought him to his room to lay him down on his bed. After he laid him down though he noticed that Army had passed out while they made their way back home. "Army?", Aloha called out and rested a hand on the others cheek before letting it rest on his forehead.

"That's not good... He's burning up... Okay um... No need to panic... You know how to take care of a sick squid.", Aloha told himself and took a deep breath. "First I need to get him some medicine since we don't have any here. Otherwise he won't get better any time soon.", Aloha mumbled.

Aloha softly shook the other in hope he'd wake up for a short moment. But to his surprise he was out cold, not waking up from the shaking. "Army? C-curry boy?", Aloha called out a little louder starting to panic a little. "Damn it... I-I don't know what to do...", Aloha mumbled and sniffed quietly, suddenly remembering something from his past.

***Little flashback***

"Hey mom~! Mom~! Can I go out and play a little with Jayden? Pretty pretty pleaseeeee!?", Aloha whined looking up to his mother who was currently standing in the kitchen making dinner. She only laughed and nodded, smiling down at the small squid.

"Yay thank you!", he said and ran over to her, holding out his arms to be picked up. He giggled quietly once he was picked up and pressed a kiss to his mother's cheek. "Love you mommy~", he said cheerfully. "I love you too my little squiddo. Now make sure to be back home once it's getting dark outside okay?", his mother told him and pinched his cheek which made him whine.

"Sure mommy ~ Now put me down Jayden's waiting!", Aloha whined and started struggling so his mother put him back down. Once down Aloha walked outside and hurried over to the place where he always used to meet up with his best friend.

"Jay Jay!", Aloha called once he saw the yellow squid and ran over to him before tackle hugging him. The both of them fell down, laughing afterwards as they now laid in the grass. "What do you want to do today?", Aloha asked and sat up.

Jayden sat up as well and couldn't help coughing into his hand harshly. "You okay?", Aloha asked and looked over at his best friend in worry. "You look unwell... Do you want to go home and do something there? We could like draw or something...", Aloha offered and frowned.

"N-no it's okay don't worry. Let's just stay outside okay?", Jayden said and smiled softly at Aloha. "But... Jay Jay...", Aloha mumbled and looked at the other with a sad expression.

"Tag you're it!?", Jayden yelled and tapped on Aloha's shoulder before getting up and running off. "H-huh? What?! That's not fair!", Aloha whined and got up quickly, now running after Jayden.

"Hahahha you can't catch me~", Jayden yelled while running away from Aloha. "Come back here! That's not faaaair! So unfair?!", Aloha yelled and pouted, trying to catch up to the other.

The both of them kept on running around for a while trying to catch each other and laughing quite a lot. "Gotcha!? Now it's your turn to catch me ~ I bet you can't do that!", yelled Aloha as he started running away from the yellow squid.

Jayden giggled quietly starting to run after the pink squid. But only after a few steps he stopped running, coughing harshly into his hand. "You can't catch... Me...", Aloha said noticing that Jayden wasn't going after him. "Jayden?!", he gasped and ran over to his best friend to support him.

"What's wrong?!", Aloha whimpered holding the other upright. "Just... *Cough* d-dizzy...", Jayden mumbled between coughing. "So-orry...", he whispered before actually loosing consciousness.

Looking confused at the other squid Aloha started shaking him. "Jay Jay? Jayden?", Aloha whined and shook him a little harder. Tears welled up in his eyes as he started to sob loudly. "G-get up... P-please get up J-Jayden...", Aloha sobbed out as he held his best friend.

***Little flashback end***

"Mh... 'Loha? What's wrong?", Army had asked once he had gotten back to consciousness.

He didn't respond though so Army looked over to him and frowned. "'Loha? Aloha?!", he called out which made the other snap back to reality. "H-huh? What-?", Aloha stuttered and looked around confused.

"Why are you crying? What's wrong?", Army mumbled, sitting up and leaning towards the other so he could wipe his tears away with his thumbs. "I'm what-? Oh... Yea... It's nothing...", Aloha mumbled and looked away, resting his own hands over Army's own one's.

Army sighed and shook his head. "Remember that you told me that I can trust you with everything?", he asked his boyfriend who just nodded as response. "Well... You can trust me with everything as well... I will not judge you for anything and I will not tell anyone about it either okay? So what's the matter?", Army asked him once again and smiled softly.

Sniffing quietly, Aloha let go of Army's hands and instead hugged the other tightly, resting his head on his boyfriends shoulder. Before he knew it he started sobbing quietly into Army's shoulder, holding tightly onto him. "I-I'm sorry... I-I'm just scared...", Aloha whimpered.

The orange squid frowned and held his boyfriend tightly. "Scared? Why are you scared?", he asked in confusion.

"I-I'm scared to loose y-you t-too...", he admitted still sobbing into Army's shoulder. "Huh? Loosing me? What do you mean?", Army mumbled and just got more confused. "When I was a small squid I had a best friend... His name was Jayden... But... He was really sick back then... I really tried helping him get better b-but he only got worse and worse... Until... He... H-he didn't make it... And earlier when I saw you unconscious on my bed... I really got scared that I might loose you as well...", Aloha explained his sobbing slowly dying down.

Starting to rub up and down Aloha's back, Army hummed in understanding. "I see... But don't worry that's not going to happen ok? You're not going-", Army said but was cut off by Aloha. "No?! Just... You really have to promise me that if you don't feel well... That you will tell me about it... And especially no lying about your symptoms... I just want to make sure you're okay... P-please Army...", Aloha mumbled and pulled away from Army's shoulder.

"I-I... Um...", Army stuttered and looked at the other in surprise. "Just promise me that you will always tell me when you're feeling unwell or down okay?", Aloha asked and sniffed quietly as he held out his pinky finger. "Pinky promise?"

Blinking in confusion, Army stared at the others finger not getting what the other meant. "Don't tell me you don't know what a "pinky promise" is?", Aloha said and looked irritated and confused at the same time. "Uh... No? What is that?", Army asked in confusion before sneezing into his hand. "Ewww....", he whined.

Aloha giggled quietly and got a tissue from his nightstand and wiped Army's nose with it. "Here you go curry boy~", he said and set the tissue aside. "Also a pinky promise is when a promise has been made and we cross our pinky fingers. Just like that.", Aloha said and crossed their fingers in order to demonstrate it.

"Ohhh. Okay... Well... I promise to always tell you if I'm feeling unwell or down?", Army said sounding a little too unsure. Aloha smiled softly and said:"And I will also tell you whenever I'm unwell or down?! So we can take care of each other right?"

Blushing brightly, Army pulled his hand away and looked aside. "Y-you're an idiot...", he muttered. He gasped once he was pulled down onto the bed to be cuddled by the other. "But I'm your idiot ~", he purred. Army just laughed and nodded. "Of course... Just my idiot..."
