Chapter 24

The next few days went smoothly that we expected. It's like a miracle that Keiran is doing great. Hindi na siya gaanong nag-rereklamo na may masakit sa kanya.

Kaya naman nag tanong kami sa kanyang Doctor kung pwede ba namin siyang ipasyal ng isang buong araw. Hindi naman kami pupunta for extreme adventure, gusto ko lang siyang ipasyal dahil simula nang makabalik kami dito ay namalagi nalang siya sa hospital.

Pumayag naman na pupwede siyang ilabas ngunit bawal sa kanya ang mag pagod at kailangan namin siyang ibalik pagkatapos ng araw.

"Where do you want to go, little bud?" tanong ni Phoenix sa kanya kinagabihan bago ang araw na mamasyal kami.

"Am I going out now, Mama?" masiglang tanong ni Keiran.

Ngumiti ako sa kanya at lumapit upang mahalikan siya.

"Just for a day, anak. Me and Papa asked for your Doctor's permission if we can have you for a whole day." paliwanag ko sa kanya.

"But we'll be back here before sunset so that they can run some check-ups on you after we spent our day." Phoenix said as he ruffled Keiran's hair.

"Thank you, Papa! Mama!" Keiran said as he hugged us together.

"I kinda also want the three of us spend time together." he said, then me and Phoenix looked at each other then looked at our son.

The next day when I woke up, Keiran was already up and the nurses got off his dextrose and he already changed his outfit.

"Mama, you need to wash na! I want to go already!" paninigaw ni Keiran habang hinihila ako.

Nakita ko naman na tumawa ng kaunti ang mga nurse pati na rin si Phoenix. I wash up really quickly since Keiran are knocking at the door from time to time.

Then when we're walking out of yhe hospitals, he greeted each one of the Nurses or Doctors we would see on the way out.

"He seemed so happy." Phoenix said as we buckled him behind the passenger seat.

"It's his first time to be freed with those needles in months. Hayaan na natin." I told him then he opened the gunshot door for me.

I looked back to see if Keiran was doing okay and it was evident to his eyes that he's excited for today's trip.

"Wow, Papa! This is my first time seeing you drive!" excited na sabi ni Keiran.

Natawa naman kami ni Phoenix dahil sa kanyang sinabi.

"This is our first time to go out together as a family, Kei." I told my son then looked at Phoenix.

He then cupped my cheek and gave me a kiss on my lips that caught me off guard!

"And that's your first kiss in front of me! Papa! Ew!"

We laughed because of that.

When we arrived at the theme park, I was wondering that there are no people at this hour.

"Is it close?" biglang tanong ni Keiran nang tinatanggal ni Phoenix ang kanyang seatbelt.

"Nope." Phoenix answered him as he carried Keiran.

"I rented the whole place for you, baby." Phoenix said that made Keiran's face lit up.

"Really, Papa?!" Keiran exclaimed excitedly.

I giggled because of his expression. Phoenix put him down when the staff greeted us at the entrance.

"You didn't have to do this, Nix."

He smiled at me at caressed my arm.

"I just want to, May. Minsan lang naman," he said then looked at our son. "At para rin naman sa kanya." he continued.

Keiran was told by his Doctor to not do extreme activities that will make him tired. He listened very well as he was instructed at the hospital and now, we heard that he's asking the staff if what is the activities with less activities.

But the staff knew of his state, Phoenix said to me. And they also prepared an Ambulance, in case something bad happens.

We did enjoy ourselves half of the day, when the lunch time came, the place was prepared. Or it was like Phoenix prepared all of this kind of things for his son.

The both of them had fun. They wanted to do the rollercoaster but I was too afraid to let Keiran experience it but I gave in when I told them just one round.

I heard Keiran's uncontrollable laughed and I got nervous, not because of me watching them at the ground but for him to be hurt anytime.

"Mama! That was fun!" he said when their one round was done and they went down back to me.

I immediately carried him and checked his back if he sweat.

"You scared me there, baby." I told him as I caressed his face.

"Mama, bakit ka matatakot eh okay lang naman ako." natatawang sabi ni Keiran.

"Oo nga, Ma." sagot naman nitong isa na siyang nag patawa sa anak.

Hinalikan naman niya ako sa ulo at hinawakan ako sa aking baywang. Nag lakad na kami papuntang labasan.

"Babalik na tayo ng hospital?" tanong ko dahil alas kwatro palang naman ng hapon.

"Hindi pa. May pupuntahan pa tayo." sagot niya sa akin at bigla akong tinalikuran upang pasalamatan ang mga tao na inasikaso kami.

Pagkatapos ay dumiretso na kami sa kanyang sasakyan at doon na nag simula ang pagtatawanan ng mag ama na ni isa sa kanila ay walang sinasabi.

"You guys are being weird. Saan niyo 'ko dadalhin?! Tulong!" pagbibiro ko at tumawa naman si Keiran.

"Mama, you are the weird one here."

"Ay wow. Ako pa ngayon ang weird na kayo itong tumatawa kanina pa?"

"Just relax, babe. You'll love this." sabi naman ni Phoenix sa akin nang hinawakan niya ang kamay ko habang nakatuon ang tingin niya sa daan habang ang anak naman namin ay tumawa ng mahina sa aming likuran.
