Playing Death |ONC 2021 Longlister

Preface

This book is written for the Open Novella Contest, combining two main prompts #36, and #21:

1. Death gets stuck on earth in 2020 as he visits

2. A dating app which pairs humans with magical beings. 

I will be trying to write something different this year: teen fiction plus fantasy. I've never written teen fiction so you are all free to provide constructive criticism to improve and feedback is appreciated! 

Secondly, I will be writing about anxiety and this book will include LGBTQ+ themes. If you are not comfortable with any of these, you may choose to opt out any time. I will be placing trigger warnings at the beginning of each chapter that may contain anxiety and mental health issues, so you are free to skip specific chapters if you wish. 

Lastly, my characters don't reflect my own personal views. They are just as human and fallible and just as beautiful in other ways too. I hope you can learn to love them just as much as criticise them. Bash at anyone all you want but please don't come at me.
