(Alynzy's P.O.V)
For the sixteen years of my life, I've fought to live, literally.
I was born sick. I don't know what exactly is my sickness and none of my family knows either. The defective health does run into the family from generations to generations, however, mine was the worst so far considering that my mother was gravely ill when she was pregnant with me. Even though it was risky, for her and me, she kept me until I was born.
Despite knowing how hopeless I was, fully aware that there is nothing I can do about my illness, I held on. I held onto life, tightly as I could.
Sure, there were times where I wanted to give up--no, I did give up, a lot of times, but in the end, I'd always choose to fight and hang on.
I was that stubborn to live.
Right after I was born, I owed my mother my life because she fought for me to live despite the risks, and sacrifices that came with it but even so, it was pointless rather hopeless.
Now, I owe my new life to Gail, the one who has healed me and restored what is barely left of my life. She's a mysterious princess who seeks her lost memories and her physical body she hopes that still exists. In exchange for restoring my life, I'd give her my aid and help her in every possible way I can, so she can regain what once was hers.
Several months later, we were still unable to find either of both and Gail was running out of time. And I feel awful and useless. It was true that we were closing in on her lost memories but it seems the closer we get, the time passess rather quickly.
Gail thinks it's okay. That we'll find it sooner or later, that we should just keep looking and not give up, but I know it's not. All of her efforts will be in vain if she won't retrieve what she lost sooner. I just know it and I can feel it.
And I hope we won't be too late when we do get what she needs.
"Aren't you all tired with all of this?"
I was brought out of my reverie when I suddenly heard a voice not far from where I was wandering off, in the forest garden.
"Because I am. I'm tired of this, guys."
I stopped in my tracks when I heard it again.
Out of my curiosity, I followed the source as I kept listening.
"I don't think I can keep up with this. I have no idea how we got to this point, but I don't want it to be like this anymore. I want Jazmine back."
I see a beautiful gazebo right ahead of me and people wearing Adarakira's college students' uniform. My eyes widened slightly when I recognized them as the Royalties.
"The longer we stay apart from the rest of them, the more strain it'll cause us. The distance between us and them is just getting further and further away. Soon, I don't think there will be anything left to fix. We have to make it right, or else it'll be too late, and we'd lose them for good." The one who was talking was Prince Zeke.
"Zeke, we know. What do you think we're doing? We've been trying to reach out to them ever since that day, but they're the one who are persistent, reluctant, and not to mention, stubborn about not talking to us anymore. The more we force them to talk to us, the more we drive them away. They just won't let us explain." Princess Viviana replied.
"Well, obviously, you're not trying hard enough!" I jump slightly at the sudden raise of Prince Zeke's voice. I covered my mouth to muffle my gasp.
"Okay, okay. We got your point, so calm down, bud. Don't take it out on Viviana." I watch Prince Spike rise to his feet and pat Prince Zeke on the shoulder as though he was trying to calm him down.
