Ch 26: As the truth unfolds

''I'll be staying in Korea till the project that we are working on is finished. I gotta go now, I'll call you during my break.'' I quickly ended the call and took my phone away as everyone entered the meeting room. 

The moment Mr.Hak entered I felt a shiver run down my spine. Our eyes met as he smiled before seating down. It all made me think back to what he said.

''What in the world are you?''

''A Vampire''

This dude is an absolute lunatic. 

No matter how much I think there is no logical reason to explain how my wounds disappeared, but him being a vampire. Just doesn't make sense. 

Does he think we live in some fairy tale world?

''We will be looking forward to discussing the progress during our next meeting. Until then may I wish everyone good days.'' I bowed my head with a bright smile watching everyone leave the room, except for one person. 

I noticed Yeojin waiting at the door to see everyone out. I slightly nodded my head at her indicating that she could leave and so she did. Closing the door behind us making it just me and Mr. Hak in the room. 

This man.....it's hard to know what he is thinking. 

''Did you have any questions left Mr. Hak?'' No matter how I see it he is still the CEO we are working with for this project. I should stay polite and respectful. 

''I told you to call me Taesung''

''I prefer Mr. Hak'' Why are men always like this? 

He replied my stubbornness with a snicker before rising from his seat. 

Vampire he says...

''No questions here. You are very good at your job.'' His compliment came with a smile but to me, it felt like a gust of wind just fanning by. 

I'm not interested in sweet talk. 

''Say Miss.....Do you remember what I told you last time when we met?'' 

Not this again!

''Mr. Hak if you are not here to converse about business matters then I must ask you to leave.''

''You must think I'm lying, you don't seem to be afraid of me at all.'' As I blinked my eyes and he ignored my request a gust of wind hit my face. Before I knew it I was locking eyes with his deep blue ones as he towered above me. His strong build almost trying to press up against me.

H-How did he get here so fast? 

''I'll tell you a secret.....'' He leaned in for some reason my body froze because of his presence. I felt his chin slightly brushing against my shoulder as he tilted his head. The warm breath coming from his mouth slightly fanning my ears. 

''I don't lie.'' That sentence alone made my heart rate sped up and the hairs on my body standing tall. 

He slightly pulled back once again locking eyes as he tried to dominate me with his presence. 

''I don't care if you're a vampire or not. I have no interest in whatever you're trying to do here. Now I'll say it one more time. If you have no interest in conversing business matters. Then leave.''

As a sly smile grew on his face my eyes became wider.

Fangs?

A set of long sharp teeth started to grow making me fall silent. 

Am I going crazy?

I stood stunned for some seconds long enough for him to take a hold of my chin making me look upward. 

Run. I should run...

''I'll tell you what I'm interested in. Your Blood.'' Before I could react to any of his words or actions I felt myself yelp out from the pain. My body got pushed against the wall while his body harshly pressed up against me giving me no room to escape. I focused on the empty seats in the room while his teeth sank deep into my collarbone. His movements were fast, inhuman. In just a couple of seconds while pushing me against the wall he unbuttoned my blouse leaving a mark where no one could see it. 

I wanted to fight back for some reason.....this man is acting rather gentle for a predator. Why do I try so hard to understand what he is thinking? Perhaps because every time I look at him I see sadness. 

Okay, Jooha calm down. The prick of a CEO seems to be a vampire. Let's just stay calm and figure this mess out later. 

''Are you done?'' At some point, the pain started to numb me and didn't bother me that much anymore. The feeling of his fangs pulling out was just as painful but I tried to remain strong not showing a hint of it. 

His lips were coated in red as he gave me a satisfying smile. 

''You believe me no-''

''Get off'' I took his unfocused moments as an opening to push him away. I quickly buttoned myself back up before stepping towards the meeting desk, gathering the files in my hand. 

''If only you were a submissive S class vessel.'' His words left me once again confused but I decided to pay no attention. 

With my belongings, I stormed towards the door not wanting to be in his presence any longer. 

''You should ask that friend of yours about vampires. I'm sure she'll answer everything you want to know.'' Is he talking about Y/N? How does he know....her?

Not wasting my time I decided to leave, but my mind was occupied for the rest of the day.

''Jooha you're home earl-''

''Y/N what do you know about vampires?'' I plopped my bag down on the couch noticing that both she and her boyfriend were present. 

Whoops, I didn't know he was here...

I was expecting her to laugh at me and mock me, but instead, I noticed her freeze with a panicking expression. 

''W-Why?'' Her voice and body language gave it all away.

So they are real?

''You have a faint smell of him on you.'' Her boyfriend spoke up making me confused and wonder what he knows about the situation. 

''You're talking about the jerk that bit me?'' I'm annoyed and I need answers. 

''Bit you?'' My choice of words made Y/N run up to me in a hurry while concern washed over her. 

Maybe I shouldn't have said that...I didn't want to worry her. 

''The company we are working with for the new project. The CEO he.....Several days ago he healed the wound on my hand. He told me he was a vampire and today....that Jerk bit me.''

''You should ask that friend of yours about vampires. I'm sure she'll answer everything you want to know.'' 

''Is what he said, but looking at you right now.'' I carefully reached out to her noticing several bandages peeking out from under her sweatshirt that were patched onto her neck.''

''And looking at this guy.'' I switched my gaze to the still unfamiliar boyfriend to me. 

''I think I can fill in a bit of things myself.'' That's when I reached for Y/N her arm pulling her partly behind me in a hurry.

''You're one of them too aren't you?'' Y/N her wounds are probably biting marks and that would also explain why he was able to analyze Mr. Hak his scent on me. 

''Jooha....we'll explain everything.'' I felt Y/N lean herself against me and I noticed that she was feeling guilty. I patted her head lightly before looking back at the guy. 

What was his name again? Jungkook? Guess he isn't a bad guy.....
