Noah came over the following week as Mollie had moved out. He didn't seem that upset about it though. All I could think about was what Mollie had said to me before. I wasn't really paying attention to what he was saying. He was talking about nothing that important. I studied every inch of his face. Mollie said that he looked at me differently than he looks at everyone else, but I didn't see it.
"Can I move in with you?" I should have been paying more attention to the conversation. "I'm sorry you what?" I stared at him in disbelief, similarly to how I did to Mollie. He started explaining how he had it all figured out. He said that I have a spare bedroom and that we wouldn't fight and that we could half the payments.
He had a whole speech worked out but all I could think about was how crazy this all was. He was getting all worked up and excited. Maybe it was possible that he could love me after all. "I have a boyfriend." I blurted out. I had to stop him before he went too far.
