- Ocean -
I enter the Orphanage, my mind on the my argument with Esemais. Will our relationship get better? Back to what it was before? The questions circle in my mind, without any sign of an answer.
I freeze. Inside the building, talking with Ti, a rust colored cat dragon stands.
"Oh, there he is," says Ti, turning towards me.
The other cat dragon's eyes meet mine. Her eyes bear the familiar glare of dislike.
"Mom," I say.
My mother plasters on a smile. "Ocean! I'm so glad I finally found you! Were you here the whole time? You silly little kitten, always wanting the adventure." She walks up to me and gives me a little head pat, as if I'm one month old and not almost four. "Come on, Ocean, we're going home."
I don't budge. "I'm not going with you," I say.
"Yes, you are," she reaches down and grabs my scruff.
Mom turns back to Ti. "I'm so sorry about him. He's a little rebellious one, always lying and trying to get what he wants," she says around me in her mouth.
Ti smiles, "it's alright. I'm glad you found him. I'm hoping I got to at least teach him one lesson or two."
