Murad's cruel ways of punishing those who dare to raise there heads against his rule are world famous. A ruthless warrior, a lover of wars, an admirer of bloodshed and a major player in world politics. All Muslim rulers around the world consider the Ottoman Emperor superior to them. Murad is a treat to watch for women.

Kosem Sultan: Mother of Murad and 'Valide Sultan' or Queen mother of Ottoman empire. She was a concubine of late Sultan Ahmed Han. She is sharp minded, clever, a lioness and dangerous if you ever try to harm her children and her empire. For her, her empire, her children and being a woman are the greatest blessings.

Sumbul Agha: The Cheif eunuch in Murad's harem. The most loyal servant to Kosem Sultan. Most of the time, Sumbul agha is a funny person. But when it comes to fulfilling his Valide Sultan's wish, no one is as witty as him.
Some important terms
Sultan (when used for male): The Emperor.
Sultan (when used for female): The term of respect used after a woman's name who is related to royal family i.e. mother, sister, daughter or wife of Sultan. For example- Kosem Sultan.
Valide Sultan: Queen Mother
Haseki Sultan: Title held by wife of Sultan. If Sultan doesn't marries, then the title goes to his chief consort.
Pasha: Title of respect given to man who works in the royal court.
Harrem: A big area in the palace where Sultan's mother, sisters, wives, children (at initial stages) and concubines live. The concubines are obviously slaves so they have to sleep together in small rooms. The woman of royal family have separate and lavish rooms. The harrem is ran by Valide Sultan and Haseki Sultan. Both are responsible for smooth running of harrem and keeping Sultan happy by sending the girl he asks for.
Agha: An Eunuch is called an Agha. Since no other man is allowed in Sultan's harrem, so they keep eunuchs to do all the work in the harrem that women cannot do. They serve the royal women only. The doorkeepers of Sultan's bedroom are also Aghas.
