Again and again, colorless thoughts filled Sooyun's head, the two lines blazing into the inner core of her brain. There was pressure, so much pressure on her to have a happy life with her soulmate.
The numbing thinking that she went through was enough to make her cry her heart out.
Fragile. Sensitive. Shameful.
Those three simple words described her thoughts towards herself.
She needed somebody to heal the wounds she had caused herself.
All she needed was an eternal friend.
And that was a wish that was hard to grant.

Renjun's eyes glanced down at the river, the light guiding them to the end of the river. He was wearing simple clothes, his face covered by the hoodie he had thrown on. It was midnight, the number had already changed.
That's one thing about the timer, it tells you about what time it is.
He chuckled lightly to himself, making sure not to disturb anybody, although the streets were empty at this point.
The wooden bridge that stood over the calm river was always a comfort place for him, and it had been for a long time. The cold December breeze hit his cheek like a knife, but he didn't care as he immersed himself in his web of thoughts, hard to untangle the complicated emotions and ideas.
Fingers tracing the 2 that was tattooed on his wrist, he tried to think positively about all that could happen with his soulmate.
Renjun knew that humans were born to think negatively, and that was exactly what he was trying to stop himself from doing. It was a consistent tug of war inside of him, fighting for control over control of his body, the force from both sides ripping his emotional self apart.
The street light cast a small shadow down onto the ground, the yellow light grazing the ground, a warm atmosphere surrounding him.
Staring up at the moon, he smiled, heading back to his dorm.

Sooyun giggled, clutching her stomach as she watched the video, her worries washed away by the boys that were the meaning of her life. The people surrounding her were beginning to stare at her, resulting in Sooyun trying to muffle her laugh.
The rustic café was a meeting spot for Sooyun and Mia every day after their daily classes, despite only having known each other for less than a few days. The connection between the girls were clear, a natural trust blooming speedily.
"Sooyun!" Mia yelled, earning a look from the workers and students in the café that was usually silent. "Sorry."
Mia settled next to Sooyun, who's black hair tumbled down her shoulders as her head pointed downwards. Peeking over Sooyun's shoulder, the corner of Mia's lips turned into a smile.
"I don't really watch this sort of stuff but is that NCT?" Mia asked, pointing at the many boys on the screen.
Sooyun nodded, "They're my life saver, especially after..." Her voice faded as her eyes fell into a dark, gloomy expression.
"You don't have to tell me," Mia comforted, grabbing tissues for Sooyun.
Gulping, Sooyun shook her head, continuing, "My old friends abandoned me."
"Sooyun. You're an amazing person. Those old friends are bitches and just ignore them, it's their fault, not yours," Mia firmly asserted, looking Sooyun in the eye before bursting out in laughter. "Sorry, I can't do this."
Sooyun wiped her tears as she laughed quietly as well.
"If you ever want support, remember I exist!" Mia cheerfully said.

Sooyun put her cloth bag down onto the small white dining table, sunlight shining through the window. The apartment was tiny, the minimum for living but she enjoyed the minimalistic style of the living area.
The rustic style was something that Sooyun enjoyed greatly, loose cloth, shades of grey resting the white baskets. Plants were another thing, she loved them but from personal experience, she knew that she was most likely going to kill them within the span of three days by breaking them somehow.
Taking her laptop and phone out, she rested them onto the table, as well as the strange objects that she had never bothered to take out of her bag.
Sooyun wasn't exactly organized, but if she wanted to be, she could, and at the moment, she wanted to be.
Humming, she pushed her textbook into the mini bookshelf on her desk, cursing when it couldn't fit.
After a good hour or two of organizing, Sooyun took a step back, satisfied.
The night was falling once more, meaning she had to cook.
"Oh my god, I hate cooking," Sooyun murmured, pulling out cup noodles.
Suddenly, she began grinning as she made her way to her phone, no speaker, as she began to blast music to the simple meal she was making, if it was even a meal.
As she began eating, she opened her phone to call her mother.
"Sooyun! How are you?" Her mother exclaimed, jumping at the sight of her daughter.
"I'm great. College is stressful."
"Your soulmate timer's almost zero, right?"
Sooyun nodded, sick of the topic.
"Tell me about your soulmate when you meet him."
"I will, mum, I will."
"And get a roommate, stop living alone!" Her mother yelled one last thing, the grey couch outlining the rather old lady's figure as the screen beeped, signifying the end of a call.
Roommate. She thought, picking up her phone from the wooden stand, texting Mia.
