you woke up to the sound of your alarm. you were so excited for your day with Spencer that you immediately started getting ready.
you took a shower and walked over to your closet to pick your outfit. you wanted to dress up but not too much. so you decided on a green dress covered in flowers, white air force ones, and a white shoulder bag.
you blow dried your long blonde hair & styled it in loose curls. you wanted to look presentable today so you put on some makeup.
you finished it off with a gold chain and bright palm perfume by victoria's secret. you grabbed your keys and drove to Spencer's house. by the time you made it to his house it was only 9:40. you got there early on purpose so he wouldn't have to wait on you.
you texted him when you arrived and he came out a few minutes after you texted him. of course he was ready early. he would never make you wait.
when he enters your car you ask "are you ready?"
"yes" he says. he was in a lot better of a mood then he was yesterday.
the first place you took him was for brunch at your favorite spot. you've been dying to show spence this place, it was right up his alley.
his eye were so bright and big when you drove up to the restaurant. "what is this place?" he spoke softly gazing at the view.
"my favorite. it's called cottage cafe."
he smiles, a full smile this time. it made you feel so warm inside knowing you have started to make him feel better.
the interior of this place is filled with joy. there is flowers and all kinds of gorgeous decorations. you loved the vibe, which is why you always visit.
Spencer ordered their special recipe chocolate sprinkle donuts. and you ordered a yogurt parfait with a blueberry muffin. and of course you guys both ordered coffee.
as you ate your muffin you kept noticing Spencer staring at you. "what? i know i'm a messy eater." you giggle.
"no it's not that, i'm just so glad you brought me here."
your heart fluttered. he was so grateful and it was only the beginning of the day.
"it's the least i could do, pretty boy. but this is only the start."
in the car Spencer eagerly asks "where are we going next?" hardly containing his excitement.
"just wait and see. you'll love it." you smile and turn up the radio.
"a strawberry field??" confusion filled his face.
"yes." you reached into your backseat and grabbed a tote bag and you both step out of the car.
you grab his hand and run down to the perfectly shaded spot. you could see all of downtown virginia at this spot.
you laid a white blanket down and got situated. you pulled beautifully crafted antique books out of the bag along with watercolor paint & brushes.
"y/n? are we painting books?"
"yes, what else would we be doing Mr. IQ of 187."
you watched a bright look travel all across his face. he grabbed the book and his hands ran down it admiring the leather stitching.
"this is perfect, thank you."
"you don't have to thank me spence" you lay a hand on his cheek and a delighted smile appeared on your face.
you painted butterflies on the pages of your book and he stuck to one front page spending all his time perfecting it.
you admired how concentrated he was as he made light streaks with the brush. making sure it was flawless. you couldn't keep your eyes off of him.
you finished before him, so you poured him a glass of rosé, you didn't want to drink because you were driving so you had sparkling rosé.
you checked the clock and it was already 5:00 p.m. it had only felt like a few minutes. Spencer finished his painting and it was breathtaking. it was a cute little house over a lake with gorgeous surroundings. it looked almost like the cottage cafe.
you rushed to the car so you wouldn't be late for the next event. Spencer might pass out of excitement.
you drive as fast as possible. you need to be there on time.
"woah y/n why are you in such a hurry?"
"because this day has to be perfect. we have to be there on time."
"it's okay, calm down y/n, this day is already perfect." he speaks with a comforting smile.
your heart races. you felt so joyous.
"it just needs to live up to its potential. you know how much of a perfectionist i am, Spencer."
"did you know the root of perfectionism the desire of conditional acceptance? perfectionists have made sense of their personal experience by concluding that if they can be perfect, they can be acceptable as people. perfectionists strive for flawlessness, hold excessively high personal standards, and have overly negative reactions to perceived mistakes and setbacks."
"yep. sounds like me." you say laughing.
"don't worry, it's a good quality." he keeps eye contact with you.
your cheeks resemble roses after his comment.
you made it to the location 10 minutes early. it was a viewing for a Russian film at a drive in. one you said you wouldn't go to.
"y/n! you're actually going to watch a Russian film with me?" his eyes sparkle in enthusiasm.
"yes silly that's why we're here."
"i thought you didn't want to watch this with me?"
"as long as you translate it for me i'm sure i'll love it." you say as you rub the fog off his glasses.
after a good four and a half hours the film was over. you honestly kind of enjoyed it. mainly because Spencer's soft whisper and passion for these films was so appealing.
it was getting late but there was still one more place you wanted to go.
"where are we going now?" Spencer says almost scared by how much you did for him today.
"live in the moment, spence."
he laughs and stares at the sightings out of the window.
you made it to his favorite dinner restaurant. it was an Indian restaurant a little while away but so worth it, he raved on and on about it at work one day so you knew you had to get it for him today.
"you're doing too much y/n, honestly."
"it's okay. i want to do it for you."
your words made him blush as he looked down and played with his hands.
you ordered knowing exactly what he wanted, the chicken tandoori. you chose the chickpea curry.
as you were eating a couple came up to you guys. they had noticed you and Spencer were laughing uncontrollably.
"you guys make such a cute couple. how long have you been dating?"
"oh we're not dating." an awkward laugh leaves your mouth. you look up at Spencer and he looks just as nervous as you, if not more.
"oh, well you guys should think about it. anyways, have a good night!"
"thank you, you too." you say watching them exit the restaurant.
the day of fun is over. you haven't had a good day of normal in a long time with all the work being done at the bau. and Spencer only made it better.
before he leaves the car he pauses.
"thank you so much y/n. you don't understand how much this means to me, truly."
"i told you that you don't have to thank me, spence."
"i know. but i don't know how else to show that i candidly mean it."
the tension was so loud in your quiet car. staring into each others eyes you both lean in. noses almost touching.
"like this." you whisper.
you lean in until your lips meet. his lips were so soft and his dainty hands press lightly against your cheeks.
you smile uncontrollably as you watch him get out of the car.
"bye, y/n." his face red in happiness.
~~~
you lie in bed thinking about your kiss with Spencer. what did it mean? did you have feelings for him? did he have feelings for you? it was all so overwhelming.you fell asleep shortly after your thoughts ran through your head. you dreamt about your day with spencer.
