In the middle of March, my family and I got COVID and I was so tired that even the thought of grabbing my computer exhausted me. I started to write after three weeks but my mental health was getting worse due to not getting back to the normal of my life (Whatever normal actually means haha) but again I am so sorry and I plan to write, write, write as much as possible! Y/N's POV
I opened my eyes and looked around forgetting that I was in the guest room. I saw Draco and I smiled softly hugging him tightly. His eyes slowly fluttered open and he smiled leaning down and kissing my forehead.
"What time is it?" He whispered. "Um, 6!" I said looking at the clock. Ugh, I was still on the hospital schedule. He groaned and shifted pulling me on top of him. I rested on him and soon felt his soft snores.
I started lightly tracing shapes on his palm and his hand twitched. "That tickles y/n." He mumbled tiredly. "Sorry," I whispered, giggling. "It's too early for this fucking shit." He groaned lightly.
"Go back to sleep then dumbass." I joked making him laugh. "Go back to sleep with me!" He whined. "Jesus, you sound like a toddler," I replied, hugging him tightly. "I can't sleep," I said but he shushed me and stroked my hair.
I felt his soft snores as the stroking stopped and I smiled closing my eyes and feeling his chest rise and fall against me as our breathing synced and I fell asleep listening to his heartbeat. I woke back up later and he was still fast asleep.
Luckily it was 10 now but I just wanted to keep cuddling Draco. I listened to his heartbeat carefully and the tempo and rhythm of his heartbeat matched mine perfectly. I smiled remembering what my mom told me about that and kept listening to his heartbeat.
FLASHBACK
Draco had arrived and we were playing games and being silly with each other. We were running around playing tag when he touched my hand and I smiled. He didn't realize it so I was off the hook and I began to chase him.
As I watched him run away, we giggled and I felt my heart skip a few beats as my cheeks started burning. I tagged him falling over and making us both laugh hard. His hand fell on mine and he didn't notice again.
"DRACO! IT'S TIME TO GO, SWEETIE!" Narcissa called from the house. Draco and I stood up and raced to the house. He won and of course had to brag about it until he left. I couldn't get him out of my head and I decided to talk to my mom. I sat on the couch with her and we started to talk.
I slid in the topic of boys and at some point, she told me that if your heartbeat syncs up with your significant other, that means your soulmates. "Does your sync with daddy's?" I asked sweetly. "Yes, I've laid my head on his chest just listening before." She said smiling and playing with my hair.
"I can't WAIT to meet MY soulmate!" I exclaimed jumping out of my mom's arms and running around the room. She chased me around until she picked me up making me giggle as she set me down and finger-combed through my hair gently.
END OF FLASHBACK
God, I missed that girl. She was so sweet and innocent. She could talk to anyone without a problem. Now, look at her, too afraid to even speak to her family in fear of saying something wrong.
I was playing with his fingers and felt them twitch as he laced his fingers with mine. I looked up at him smiling. "Morning," I said staring into his deep blue eyes. "Morning gorgeous." He whispered back.
"Did you know, our heartbeats sync up?" I asked smiling widely to myself. "Do they?" He asked pulling himself to sit up making me crawl off of him. "Yes, yes they do," I said sitting in front of him.
"Well, I have no idea what that means but I assume it's something good?" He said confusedly. "You don't know what it means?" I asked shocked. "Should I? I'm sorry." He replied nervously. "No don't apologize it's okay, I'm just so surprised," I said giggling.
"What does it mean?" He asked stretching his arms out. "Oh, nothing really," I said teasing him. "No, seriously y/n. What does it mean?" He asked flopping his arms down. "Nothing," I said in a sing-songy voice.
"You are a very brave woman y/n, y/l/n." He said staring at me. "I know I am!" I joked smiling and standing up. "Now tell me what it means." He said walking over towards me. "No sir, you'll just have to find out on your own won't you," I whispered leaning in closely.
"Oh, come on. Please?" He asked lacing his fingers together. "Yea- no," I said, quickly running past him and out of the door. He groaned and walked out following me. I walked along the halls seeing Sj's door open.
I looked confused and I opened Ava's door slowly and quietly. I saw Sj and Ava laying together passed out. I swooned and Draco came up behind me, he wrapped his arms around me slowly. "So, when are we going to have some of our own?" He whispered.
It shocked me and I turned around to face him. "I- what? Y-you, want kids?" I asked resting my hands in his chest. "You couldn't tell love?" He asked grabbing the back of my neck pulling my head in to kiss me deeply.
"I guess I just never took you as a kids guy. I'm sorry." I said softly after pulling away from his warm embrace. "Don't be it's okay. But yes, I do want kids. Not now of course that was just to startle you. But yes, in the future I want a daughter." He said leaning on the door frame.
"You are full of surprises Mr. Malfoy. You know I kind of want a son for my firstborn." I said staring at Sj as I leaned on the other side of the door frame. "Don't worry, you'll have plenty of my little men running around." He said proudly, chuckling to himself.
"How are you so sure that YOU'RE going to be the father of my future children?" I teased, I watched as he looked towards me his arms unfolding down by his side. "Well, I- I don't but I mean-" He began but I cut him off quickly.
"I was kidding idiot," I said, watching him fumble for excuses. I pushed a loose strand of hair behind my ear as the kids started to wake up. "OW AVA YOU ELBOWED ME!" Sj snapped turning over. "SORRY!" Ava snapped back as she stretched.
"Go wake the kids Hunny, I'm gonna be downstairs making cereal!" I said enthusiastically, smiling at Draco and running away. He rolled his eyes and rose up from the door frame, walking into the room as I giggled to myself.
As I made cereal for everyone I began thinking about what Draco said about wanting kids. I smiled at the thought of our children running around but I felt like he was kind of rushing into everything.
I ignored it because I knew he was just kidding about having children now and I smiled as Ava and Sj came down the stairs. Draco came shortly after holding his eye. "Uh, what happened?" I asked handing Ava and Sj their bowls.
"Ava elbowed my eye." He said pulling his hand away. "Aw, you look okay. Here eat up." I joked handing him a bowl and putting the milk away. "How loving can you get?" He said jokingly. "About as loving as you darling," I replied, making him smile at me sarcastically.
