The truth or a bunch of lies?

Chapter 6

Casey's pov:

Last night at Ethan's house had been perfect. I met his older sister, Karla and his parents. Karla even gave me a make over, I didn't even recognise myself! But there was always one thing on my mind...Jayden, he got me the cutest present ever, he was right, I did like it. In that small, neatly wrapped gift, was a necklace, but it wasn't just any necklace, it was the most perfect thing in the world. I remember the day that we walked into the shop, and I promised that as soon as I had the money, I'd get that necklace, but times were hard, my parents didn't have much money, and it took them years to get enough to be able to move, and I haven't seen the same necklace since I've been here. I wondered where Jay-Jay got that amount of money to get it for me, but it was still the sweetest thing ever.

My mum shouted up the stairs to me telling me that if I didn't get up soon then I'd miss the bus. I sighed, swinging my legs over my bed, getting ready to stand up, but I couldn't help but think of Dad, I hadn't seen him for a while, he was always away for business trips. I wish I saw him more often, it seems like he spends more time away than he does at home.

After getting ready for school, I swung my bag over my shoulder and walked downstairs and shouted a 'Bye!,' before heading outside. I was about to make my way over to the bus stop, when I noticed Jayden's car in the driveway, so instead, I went over to him.

He rolled down his window, 'Good morning, Casey!' Jayden said more cheerful than usual. I raised one eyebrow up in a questioning manor. 'Just coming to pick you up so we can drive to school together!' He replied. I smiled, he truly was my best friend.

I thought that today would be perfect, with my best friend and my boyfriend, but boy, could I be more wrong.
