"Sit." Bruce said to Selina and moved a chair for her.

She chuckled with disbelief, slowly came up to him and sat on it. I grinned at the adorable scene in front of me.

Then my smile immediately fell when I remembered the hell that is probably about to go down.

Bruce walked over to the other side of the table and lit a few candles. I couldn't help but smile softly at how nervous she seemed.

"Wow. Candles." She spoke up.

"If I didn't know any better, I'd say this was a...date." She pulled her mouth in a straight line.

"Maybe it is." Bruce said as he took off his gloves and coat. I grinned widely.

"That ok with you?" Bruce asked.

"Maybe." Selina smiled softly and crossed her legs.

"Ugh." Ivy groaned with disgust. I rolled my eyes and ignored her childish behaviour.

"Good." He said after he finally sat down in front of her. Then he swiftly pushed a can towards her.

"So, let's eat." He smiled and grabbed his own.

"That was the best canned meal I've ever had." Selina declared. I chuckled inaudibly.

Then I immediately sulked because of the memory of Jerome. I sincerely hope he's still hypnotised. The longer, the better. Gives me more time to go back to him.

Bruce finished lighting the fireplace, straightened himself up and turned to her. I took a deep breath and nervously pushed my curls behind my ears.

"And if this was a date, I don't know how you're gonna top it when everything gets back to normal." She said. Bruce looked into the fire.

"I don't think things are ever gonna be normal again. For me, anyways." He told her as he stared into the flames.

"Oh." I breathed when I realised what was going on. Selina squinted with confusion.

"What do you mean?" She asked. He turned to her.

"Wayne Manor's gone." He noted. I swallowed heavily and pulled my head down.

"And I know a lot of people lost a lot more, but part of me wonders if it wasn't fate."

"It wasn't." She sighed.

"It was Jeremiah blowing up your house."

"Maybe it's time to move on." He muttered. Selina shifted uneasily in her seat.

"You mean, like, leave Gotham? Bruce, forget Wayne Manor. This city is your home."

"And how many terrible things have happened to it because of me?" He spoke as he paced closer to the table. Her eyes were slightly wide.

"Galavan. Ra's Al Ghul." He recited and sat on his chair. I sighed softly at the memories.

"If this city really is my home, then maybe the best thing I could do for it is leave."

Ivy suddenly grabbed my hand and walked out from behind the wall. I groaned with irritation.

"I have to say..." She began. Bruce and Selina noticed us, and they immediately jumped to their feet.

"Kinda agree with you on that one, billionaire boy."

"Howdy." I grinned awkwardly, ripped my hand out of Ivy's hold and waved to them.

"Grace, what are you doing?" Bruce murmured with disbelief.

"Always a Valeska in sight when something bad happens to you, huh?" I chuckled dryly. His and Selina's eyes narrowed.
