DreamenD Rin Meets Smiling #20

The date was August 20, 2021. Let's see what's happening in Negi Root today. Lavern Dennison (Smiling #20) was doing some homework in the public library.

Smiling #20: I concentrate really well here in the library.

Suddenly, he heard a noise. It sounds like someone crying. And it was close. Lavern decided to get up from his chair and check it out. He saw a blonde-haired girl with her head down on a desk. She was the one crying. Lavern sat down next to her. She didn't seem to notice him. Lavern started rubbing her back gently as a sign of comfort.

Smiling #20: It's okay.

???: Huh?

She looked up and saw Lavern.

???: No, it's not okay.

Smiling #20: What's wrong?

???: Nothing.

Smiling #20: Oh, come on. No one really cries over nothing. Just tell me. I'm trying to help.

???: Alright. *sniff* It's my brother. He's in the hospital.

Smiling #20: The hospital? How come?

???: He hit his head really hard and lost consciousness. I had to call 911 so that the doctors can take care of him. When they were done, one of the doctors told me that he's got a concussion. I'm worried that he'll die. I came here to clear my head.

Smiling #20: I'm sorry about your brother. But he'll get better soon. He's not going to die.

???: He's not?

Smiling #20: No. It's just a concussion.

???: Okay, what a relief!

Smiling #20: By the way, I'm Lavern. What about you?

DreamenD Rin: I'm Eleanor. And my brother's name is Edward.

Smiling #20: Edward will be out of the hospital alive. You have my word.

DreamenD Rin: Thank you. That makes me feel better.

Smiling #20: You want to read together? It'll help get your mind off of Edward.

DreamenD Rin: I would like that, Lavern.

And so, the 2 modules read some books together.
