The Avengers, Steve's Little Secret

Ch. 25 "Carnival"

                                                    Brooke POV 

I was in a deep sleep, when I heard someone whisper my name, 

"Brooke.." I heard 

I slowly crack my eyes open, and there stood Bucky, 

"There she is," Bucky said smiling at me, 

"Bucky!" I smiled 

He's been away for a long time, 

"Shhh," He said putting his finger to his lips, 

I nodded, 

"How about you and me go out for a while, it's been so long since I've seen my squirt, Bucky said picking me up out of bed and helping me get changed, 

We walked out of the tower, my arm is held above my head as I held onto Bucky's hand, while the other held my Iron man toy close, 

"Where are we going?" I asked looking up at him 

"You'll know when you see it," He said smiling down at me, 

I looked up at him and smiled, 

"I missed you," I blurted out, 

He looked a little taken back, 

"What the other's not good enough?" He asked chuckling 

"They're not you," I said smiling up at him, 

"They don't even sneak me snacks," I said pouting 

Soon we arrived it was a carnival, 

"WOW!" I said as my eyes light up, 

"I knew you would like this," Bucky said lifting me up on his shoulder, since I'm so small and I guess he didn't want to lose me, 

"What do you want to do first?" He asked 

"Oh can we get a corn dog!" I asked 

He chuckled 

"I swear squirt you have more of a bottomless pit than Pietro," Bucky said 

He set me down as he bought the food, after that we played some of the games where he won me a giant stuffed puppy dog, 

We went on all kinds of rides including the ferris wheel, as we sat there on the top it was dark, and fire works were going off in the sky, 

"Wow!" I said leaning forward, 

"Careful down lean forward squirt don't want you to fall," Bucky said 

"I won't fall," I said smiling at him

"What makes you so sure?" He said sternly 

"Because you are here," I said smiling at him

he pulled me back that I was in his lap, 

"You are trouble just like your damn father," Bucky said chuckling 

We were walking back to the tower when I was starting to get tired, I stopped walking and blinked a few times, 

I heard a chuckle and felt myself being lifted and my eyes grow heavy, 

                                        Bucky POV 

I picked Brooke up, holding her with my one arm and carrying the giant puppy with the other, she was laying her head on my shoulder, her pigtails a mess, 

She was sucking her thumb as her arm hooked the stuffed Iron man toy in her elbow, 

I walked in taking the elevator to the main floor and that's when I seen Steve a wreck and the others in a panic, 

Steve looked in my direction, 

"Thank god!" Steve said rushing towards me 

"I told you I was going to take her for a day just the two of us when I got back," I said 

"I didn't think it was going to be the second you got back," Steve said gently taking her from my arms, 

"Looks like she had fun though," Tony said walking up to us,

"Still won't let go of that Iron man toy I see," Tony said smirking 

Me and Steve glared at him, 

"I'm going to get her to bed," Steve said 

"I'll help," I said following him
