That Room
You walk into a dark, small room and reach for the light switch on the left, inside the door. The light takes a while before it flickers on, dim but good enough.
You look around the small and empty room before the small chair at the back of the room catches your eye. It is an unusual chair, brown and old. It only has three legs. But the thing that makes you uncomfortable is that you see there is rope attached to the chair legs and tied to two different poles at the other end of the room.
Suddenly you feel an urge to walk over to it and sit in it.
But then you try to tell yourself, 'you know better than this Zoey, this is just a set up and you know that.'
You find yourself lifting one foot off the ground and placing it in front of you. Then the next moment you are sitting in the chair, and your ankles and hands are tied where you cannot see them.
You begin to panic.
Wriggling around in the chair, you try to untie yourself and escape. You know that somethings wrong and you want to get out of there as fast as you can. But you cannot. No matter how hard you try or how hard you try to scream. Nothing comes out.
'Am I in shock?' you think to yourself.
The sudden moment of the light turning off seems to scare the hell out of you.
You look around eager to find what it is that is playing on the edge of your nerve strings.
The blinding light of a fresh candle lamp lit with blue flame is frightening.
But it is the thing that is holding the lamp that scares you the most.
There standing in the dark you can faintly see a woman. Her back slouched, and head tilted down but still staring at you like your invisible, but she can look right into your soul. Her clothes are ragged and covered in blood stains. In her free hand she holds a dagger coated with blood and skin.
"We've been searching for you Zoey Addison. And now we've got you tied up." The woman said in an echoing and deep voice.
The woman shoved the lamp closer to your face.
The next moment there was a crowd of people wearing ragged clothes with blood stains.
Some were children some were adults and elderly. But they were all women. They eyes were sad and dark. Heads tilted down but still staring directly through you like the other woman who was still standing in front of you holding the lamp.
All the women, even the children, were all holding a weapon of some sort covered in blood. A little girl with golden streaks in her bloody hair, was holding a baseball bat. She stepped forward and crouched over you holding up the bat and spoke, "my daddy killed me, we were playing baseball together then he beat me, now I'm dead. And I've come to do the same to him and haunt him."
You look at her with a horrified expression.
Another girl steps forward. But this time you recognise her. Short brown hair and a yellow dress with white daisies on it. It is your younger sister Gemma. A terrifying memory pops into your mind.
The beach, the smell of salt water and the feeling of sand between your toes. The sound of screaming and frantic splashing. You look around to see Gemma in the water drowning. You run out to her and she is gone. She is dead. Underwater you see her fall to the bottom with a scream frozen on her face.
You are back in the room. Gemma speaks with a shaky voice, "you, b***h. You let me die. I watched you, I looked into your eyes you had no sadness or pain. I'm gonna do exactly what you did to me!"
She holds up a black bucket of water with a manic smile on her face.
You scream.
She grabs you by your hair and shoves your head into the bucket still screaming.
All you feel is pain. Your heart is racing, and your head hurts from the tight grab of her long fingernails digging into your skin.
You try to gasp for breath, but it just makes it worse.
You cannot breathe.
You are fading away.
You can feel yourself giving in to the dark.
Your body starts to rapidly pump as you drown right there in your sister's arms with your head being held in the bucket of water.
'I'm sorry' you think to yourself for the last time.
You shoot up for laying down in bed and look at your bedside clock, 12:22.
Tears run down your face and you cannot breathe.
Your Schizophrenic mind going crazy.
"Why is it always me?" You manage to tell yourself, "why does déjà vu choose me!?"
You look up at the ceiling of your bedroom and whisper, "I'm sorry sister. I'm innocent!"

The Man in the Air Duct
I was 14 at the time that this happened. My cousins were coming over for the weekend. I rarely get to see them so I made a list of games and other things that we could do together.
They came around 2pm on Saturday afternoon. I showed them my list and they picked six things that we could do together. We all decided to leave murder in the dark for a last-minute game because they would be leaving around 7pm.
The day went by quick and before we knew it, it was 6:30pm and it was dark enough to start playing. I was the one who had to find the others first up. I had found everyone except for Ellie. When I gave up, we all decided to look for her together. But we still could not find her. No matter how much we called for her, she never answered.
We then chose to play again, then someone might find or hear her.
I decided to hide in the ensuite behind the door. When I heard someone calling my name.
The voice was coming from the bathroom vanity. I started to walk over to it. Unable to control myself. It was like a magnetic force pulling me closer. The nearer I got I finally realised that it was a man's voice. Deep and dark. I tried to pull myself away so I could get out of there. But I could not.
