Eda was sleeping in the car and Serkan was driving home. He wouldn't stop smiling and looking at Eda, who looked peaceful as ever. Serkan said a silent prayer to himself
"Let her be there in my life forever. Let this life be mine. Please keep her safe and happy. Give her a long life that she can spend with me. So we can see our kids play together and enjoy the little joys of life. please God let this rainbow stay in my life forever!"
Serkan was lost in his thoughts that he didn't notice they reached home. He got out of the car and opened the door for Eda.
Eda: aşkim! I am thirsty! Can you give me some water?
Serkan gave her a glass of water and She took two sips.
Eda: thanks! Can we get some air? I feel suffocated.
He took Eda to the garden. It was almost sunset and Serkan and Eda sat on the swing that he had placed in the garden. Eda had been working for six months on this garden and it was taking great shape. The little buds were almost blossoming Indicating had that spring was right around the corner.
Eda: oh! This place always calms me down!
Eda rested her head on Serkan's shoulder and he softly rubbed her palms with his thumb. He always noticed that Eda would rub her star tattoo whenever she was tensed and so he softly rubbed her star tattoo.
Eda: Can you believe we will be parents? I still can't believe it? This morning I was so depressed that may be it wasn't meant to be.
Serkan: I know! And I told you it doesn't matter as long we are together.
Eda: you did!
She smiled and kissed his chin.
Serkan: Eda! You'll have to be very careful now. The doctor already said you are very weak to carry twins. We have to be cautious here. Understand?
Eda: I know. But I still have a lingering fear like this isn't real and maybe something will go wrong.
Serkan: çok saçma! I told you! You'll be fine. Now come on let's get inside. It's getting cold.
Serkan: Hadi!!
Eda: Tamam!
Serkan went back to the car as he had forgotten his phone in the car. Serkan took one look at his phone. It was filled with missed calls and voice notes and messages. He had completely forgotten about how Eda had fainted in front of ArtLife and he just picked up and left, leaving everyone worrying behind.
The phone rang again and it was Melo this time. He picked up.
Serkan: Affendim Melo!
Melo: inişte! What happened to Eda? Is she Ok? What did the doctor say. ?
Serkan thought if he told Melo about Eda now a sea of people would be waiting at his doorstep and that will only make Eda dizzier.
Melo: inişte! inişte! Can you hear me?!
Serkan: ah! Yes yes! Melo! Eda is fine! Just a little tired. Why don't you come by for lunch or breakfast tomorrow morning?
Melo: Ayi Çok iyi fikr! I'll bring the girls too.
Serkan: Tamam!
It was clear tomorrow there will be an army of people at his home.
Serkan texted Leyla to cancel all his meetings for tomorrow and do the same for Eda. To which Leyla informed Serkan that it's the long weekend and ArtLife will be cowed for three days. Serkan had completely forgotten about it.
Serkan went to the bedroom to check on Eda. And saw her resting on an armchair.
Serkan: you haven't changed ?!
Eda: I feel too tired to change. I want to take a shower but just feel too tired to even get up.
Serkan: That's not a problem. I'll help in this case.
Eda: really! What will you be doing for me Serkan bey?
Eda seductively asked him. Serkan leaned towards Eda and softly grabbed her by the waist. He slowly took off her jacket. Came towards Eda's ear to say
Serkan: NO WORDS!
Eda felt a trance coming on. Serkan kept taking off her clothes without losing eye contact and took her in his arms to lift her. He took her to the shower and slowly washed her face and caressed her hair.
Eda: vay bey! You are being too nice to me!
Serkan: Maybe I am just returning the favour. Remember then the time when you washed me in the shower.
Eda: which time are you talking about? Eda asked pretending she didn't remember.
Serkan: hanimfendi! No words!!
Serkan whispered. Eda was liking this seductive Serkan. She leaned to kiss him and he didn't object. Although after a few moments Eda wanted to take things to a higher level is when Serkan did stop her. And this confused Eda.
Eda: what happened? Is everything okay?
Serkan: we have to be cautious Eda! Remember what the doctor said.
Eda frowned a little and they finished their shower.
Serkan was drying Eda's hair when he noticed a long face.
Serkan: what's with the face?
Eda: YOU KILLED THE MOMENT!
Serkan smirked and answered
Serkan: it's for your good.
Eda: still .... you need to be punished!
Serkan: so you think it's my fault ?!
Eda: Evet!!
Serkan gave in
Serkan: Tamam! What can I do for you 'Queen Eda'?
Eda: Allah Allah! Queen Eda! I like the ring to it. You can make me dinner .....
Serkan: Tamam
Eda held Serkan's hand to stop him
Eda: Right after you finish doing my hair!
Eda smiled and Serkan blushed to a red tomato.
Serkan: Tamam!
Eda looked at Serkan as if correcting him
Eda: Tamam...Queen... Eda!
Serkan nodded and repeated after her. And they both giggled
Ayfer stared at Melo. Melo was scared to say anything. Ayfer pressed her a bit
Ayfer: What did Serkan say?
Melo: He said she is fine.
Ayfer: Then why did she faint
Melo: ayi abla how would I know.
Ayfer: are you hiding something from me? Cause if you are believe me I will make the halva and get everything out of you!
Melo: Ayfer abla! You know how Eda is. She faints always when she is stressed. Maybe she is stressed about conceiving now! HUH?
Melo didn't realize what she had blurted out and Ayfer was staring at her face with a wide-open mouth.
Ayfer: what was she stressed about?
Melo: A A A Ayfer abla, she was talking to me the other day at the office. It's nothing serious. She .... she .... said she and Serkan were trying and the test came back negative every time.
Ayfer: hmm, so that is what's stressing her. I will go talk to her now.
Melo: Ayfer abla! You don't have to go now. You tell me what you feel and I will go and tell her. I and the girls are going to her place tomorrow.....
Melo realized that she had blurted out once again.
Ayfer: oh! So you and the girls are going to Eda. When?
Melo: tomorrow at lunch (with a long face)
Ayfer: who's else is there?
Melo: Me Ceren and Fifi. Just the three of us.
Ayfer: MAKE THAT FOUR! I am coming with you!
Melo: ama neden.
Ayfer: because she might be pregnant!
Melo: nay!!!
Ayfer: Evet!
Melo: but she said the test was negative.
Ayfer: ahh those tests are never a hundred per cent accurate.
She might not even know. We ladies will talk to her. Anne can be very good with advice even Aydan for that matter. We go there too! I have to talk to her.
Melo: Allah Allah, that's everybody!
Ayfer: Evet! You don't tell anyone anything! Okay?
Melo: believe me Ayfer abla, That is the only talent I lack. Keeping secrets !!
Ayfer laughed at Melo while she made a long face knowing what she had done.
Serkan made Eda a sandwich and a fruit salad. Eda waited on the couch eagerly and her excitement died.
Eda: This is Dinner?!
Serkan: Evet! A healthy dinner for my Queen!
Eda: What Queen eats This type of food?!
Serkan: The one that rules my heart!
Eda thought to herself why was Serkan so charming. Serkan Continued
Serkan: Eda you have to eat the healthy stuff. And a strict diet. Remember what the doctor said. No junk.
Eda: how can I forget! You keep reminding me Every thirty minutes!
Eda frowned and said. And this made Serkan laugh.
Serkan: Hadi! It's not that bad. Come on eat!
Eda made a long face and ate the sandwich. She didn't want to finish the fruit salad but Serkan made sure she did. They watched tv for sometime when Serkan noticed Eda had dozed off again. He took her in her arms and put her to bed. Eda meekly opened her eyes.
Eda: Serkan my foot hurts! Can you massage it!
Serkan: sure!
After sometime Serkan laid In bed when Eda again requested
Eda: Serkan! Can you massage my head! It hurts!
Serkan didn't answer and started massaging her head. Eda realized she is being too bossy with Serkan. She turned towards his chest and look at him.
Eda: I am bothering you a lot, right?
Serkan: yes you are! And I am loving that about you!
Eda smiled with sparkling eyes.
Eda: so tell me! Why have you been calling me Queen all evening? Is it because I have been asking too many things?
Serkan cuddled Eda close to her.
Serkan: because you are my Queen; Who will give me princess!
Eda: how are you sure that we will have a girl.
Serkan: I just know. Anyways today I went easy on you but tomorrow we start a strict routine for you.
Eda: Serkan?
Serkan: you will not be going to ArtLife anymore. The drive will make you dizzy
Eda: and what about you?
Serkan: me? I am not leaving your side for a minute Eda Bolat! I'll be working from home for the next year.
Eda: you would do that for me?
Serkan: oh I am will. Anything for MY QUEEN !!
Eda hugged Serkan and he pecked a small kiss on her forehead.
It was morning and Serkan woke up with a knock on his front door and a bell that kept ringing like crazy. Serkan couldn't understand what was going on. He made sure Eda was sleeping Undisturbed while he sneaked out of the bed. He put on a loose shirt to check on the door and to his surprise there seven women standing in front of the door. He thought to himself "MELO".
Serkan: welcome ladies. Glad to make acquaint...........
Aydan: Serkancim please tell us where is Eda?
Ayfer: hemen!
Serkan was taken aback by the women army staring at him.
Serkan: ladies! I hope everything is okay!
Samiyah Hanim: it will be once we meet Eda!
Serkan: I am sorry Samiyah Hanim, but Eda is still sleeping. She got tired last night. I suggest you let her rest.
Serkan noticed the ladies whispering to each other while looking at Serkan.
Ayfer: he saying she's tired. Are you thinking what I am thinking Anne?
Samiyah Hanim: çok!
Ceren: he is saying she's tired. What have they been doing ya? It's been more than two months now?
Ceren and Fifi giggled quietly
While the ladies kept whispering Melo signals a SORRY to Serkan.
Serkan was clueless but asked them to have a seat and get comfortable.
While Serkan changed and got ready when there was another bell on the front door and this time Ceren opened the door. Serkan overheard Ceren.
Ceren: Aşkim!
Serkan understood it was Ferit. Serkan went towards Eda who had woken up.
Eda: Gunaydin!
Serkan: Gunaydin! How's my Queen this morning!
Eda: I feel better today! Maybe I needed that rest or maybe I am stress-free. It feels good to be calm.
Serkan: I wouldn't be too calm if I were you.
Eda: what do you mean?
Serkan: there are seven ladies downstairs waiting for you to wake up and explain to them 'why' you fainted yesterday. Do I dare tell who these ladies are?
Eda: I think I already know!
Serkan: mmhmm
Eda: Tamam! I'll change and come down. Although I don't know how they will take the news!
Serkan: Eda I don't want you to stress. I need you to stay calm. I'll be there right beside you. Okay? If you want we can keep this a secret.... to avoid any stress
Eda: yok! No more secrets. Besides, I don't have to worry as long as you are there Serkan. They kissed each other briefly and then Eda went to change.
Serkan and Eda came down and saw Ferit standing with Ceren. Ceren said something in Ferit's ear and he started smiling.
Serkan and Eda looked at everyone who was staring at them.
Aydan: soyle!
Ayfer: Evet soyle!
Serkan and Eda stared at each other and then at everyone else. Everyone had skipped the formalities and gotten straight to the point.
Samiyah Hanim: Eda him what happened yesterday?
Serkan: she fainted!
Everybody : anddddddddd....
Eda and Serkan answered together:
We Are Pregnant !!!
Everyone in the room yelled in joy and excitement. The ladies came to hug Eda and somehow pushed Serkan aside.
He felt like a jackass Standing next to the ladies and joined Ferit; who hugged him and congratulated him. Next was Aydan to follow. And then Melo.
Ferit had brought breakfast for all. And Serkan thanked him.
While everyone was having breakfast, they kept telling Eda about pregnancy tips and stories. Eda couldn't stop giggling and feeling happy. Serkan stared at her face and Eda noticed.
Eda: aşkim! Iyı misin? Noldu ?!
Serkan: Did you get even more beautiful overnight!
Eda: stop it! You are embarrassing me.
Serkan: I might fall in love with you all over again!
Eda: Will you hold back this time!
Serkan: hayir!
They both giggled and laughed and the ladies couldn't stop and gush Over at the soon to be parents.
Ayfer and Aydan: ayi mashallah
Melo: çok romantik!!
Ceren: yaaaa çok tatli
Serkan thought it's a good time to give everyone a surprise
Serkan: everyone! I appreciate you all coming here. Ferit thanks a lot for the hospitality This morning. And we have a surprise for you all!
Everyone started talking
" ayi nay surprise! Ya!
Tamam soyle!
Bence!
These were the words Serkan could hear and so he Interrupted.
Serkan: sakino! Sakino! I will not tell you a surprise!
Everyone: NAY !!!!!
Serkan: Eda will !!!
Eda stared at Serkan and took one deep breath
Eda: " Everyone .......... WE ARE HAVING TWINS ! "
For a good thirty seconds, everybody was stunned and went silent. And then once again the ladies swarmed Eda and Serkan politely stepped aside. Ferit came to his rescue.
Ferit: tekrar tebriklar!
Serkan: sagol
Everyone was so happy and excited. Serkan couldn't be more thankful for the moment. Eda was stuffed with food by Aydan and Ayfer when Serkan found the chance to talk to Samiyah Hanim.
Serkan: samiyah Hanim! If you don't mind can we talk?
Samiya Hanim: tabi tabi
Serkan: samiyah Hanim! The doctor has advised rest and a strict diet for Eda. He also told us that Eda is too weak to carry twins.
Samiyah: of course Serkan, it's her first trimester. You both should be very careful during this time.
Serkan: samiyah Hanim, is there anything that I should know about pregnancy your family. Any history that could affect Eda. Don't get me wrong! It's just that I am worried.
Samiyah: Serkan doesn't be worried! It'll be all good. Besides morning sickness and nausea, we mostly have successful pregnancy In our family. I am hoping the same for Eda too.
Serkan: bende! Excuse me!
Serkan looked at Eda who looked exhausted. He went straight to Eda
Serkan: ladies! Eda is getting tired and I think we can all agree she needs rest. Please let her have some air.
Everyone agreed and started to leave. They all hugged Eda one by one and said their farewell to Serkan.
Ceren: congrats once again Serkan
Fifi: good luck to you both
Melo: inişte! (Signaling two thumbs up)
Ayfer: tebrikedrim Serkan
Samiyah: if there's anything you'll let me know!
Serkan nodded.
And finally Ayden
Ayden: ayi Serkan! I am so excited! I'll go straight to Saifi and start shopping. There is so much to be done! I have to organize a party and all the socialites must be invited! There is so much work!
Serkan stopped Aydan
Serkan: annem! Please I request you to stop doing any party plans. Eda can't take up any events and she needs all the rest she can get. So NO PARTY! Do I have your word?
Ayden: Tamam!
Serkan smiled and hugged Aydan, who sensed how nervous Serkan is. She patted him on the back to calm him down. Even a huge full-grown man becomes a baby when in the arms of his mother.
