Chapter Five - The Best Friend

*BANG* *BANG* *BANG*

A harsh noise came whailing down like hail on the door, I snapped awake with a heavy chest. I looked over at Remus who had also sat up at the loud noise

"Is four in the bloody morning, who is that?"

Remus said rubbing his eyes, his voice thick with sleep. I groaned out and layed back down

"Just ignore it, probably just a kid messing around"

I closed my eyes and tried to go back to sleep when another

*BANG* *BANG* * BANG*

Sounded on the door. I sat up again, irritated and Remus whispered

"I don't think they are going away"

"But-"

I couldn't finish my sentence because I heard my name being called from a familiar voice

"Jess?"

I quietly questioned. My irritation immediately left and I stood up pulling a blanket off the bed as I did, wrapping it around my bare body. I walked over to the door, feeling my way through the dark until my hand met with the cold metal handle. A shock of cold went up my body as I turned the handle with a click, opening it to reveal Jess. She immediately hugged me and I blushed darkly pulling away

"Jess im fucking naked"

"Oh like I haven't seen your tits before calm down"

I sighed and looked over at Remus who had finished pulling on his pants. I looked down the hallway quickly to make sure nobody was wandering the halls before moving out of the entrance of the door so she could walk in. She stepped in and I closed the door behind her. She snapped her fingers and every candle in the room lit up, bringing a soft hue of orange light to the room like a blanketed sunrise.

I finally got a good look at her, her skin was tanned to a soft olive color, her neck decorated with a few purple hickies and her normally dark hair was a few shades lighter. She wore a long flowing dress, telling me she just got back from her trip

"So you didn't listen to me?"

She said to me. I rolled my eyes turning away from her to drop the blanket and pull on a bra and some panties

"We already talked about that, I'm fine"

"Yeah cuz all those bruises really look fine"

I turned to her

"You've seen worse on me in first year"

Jess blushed as I brought up and old injury my mother gave me. She kept her mouth closed for a moment before swallowing and talking again.

"Okay I'm not here to fight, I just came by to make sure you are okay"

I pulled on one of Remus' t-shirts that fell to my mid thighs and walked over sitting on the side of the bed, pulling her down to sit next to me

"Honestly it wasn't bad, Remus was a little... primal but that's kinda normal anyway"

That made Jess let out a soft laugh as I gestured to Remus who stood across the bed, buttoning up a shirt

"Well that's good I guess, I was wondering if you wanted to go for breakfast, I got a lot to tell you"

I laughed and shook my head

"Of course, but the restaurants aren't even open for like another three hours"

Jess opened her mouth to say something but closed it again and than chuckled
