*two weeks later*
It was the day of Charles' wedding and Natalie's mother was acting frantic. She was running around making sure everything was perfect. All the ladies closest to the couple, including Natalie went to a hairdresser to get their hair and makeup done. Charles and Sarah didn't have groomsmen and bridesmaids they only had a maid of honor and best man as well as a page boy and flower girls. The families of the bride and groom arrived outside the church and Jack was meeting Natalie there.

They stood around waiting for the ceremony to begin. Natalie had a gorgeous light blue off the shoulder satin dress with matching heels and pearls. Her parents were greeting guests outside the church and Natalie was waiting for Jack to arrive. Suddenly she saw him pull up. He got out of the car in a black tux and bow tie. She hated admitting it but he looked really good. "Natalie, you look beautiful." he said. "Thank you. You look really good yourself!" she replied as felt herself blushing at his compliment.

The ceremony was about to begin so everyone made their way inside the church. Natalie looped her arm through Jack's and they took their seats in front. Charles looked really nervous but Natalie knew that was bound to happen. She was starting to feel nervous for Charles. Everyone stood up when they saw Sarah walk in. She walked down the aisle with her father. They said their I do's and the ceremony was over.

Everyone drove over to the reception. The reception was at an elegant venue/restaurant in Cambridge. The bride and groom were introduced as Mr. and Mrs. Lavoie for the first time and the party began. Everyone was dancing and eating and drinking. Natalie's grandfather had snatched Jack away to ask him about his job and the Senate and politics. Natalie's grandfather owned a huge oil company and even worked with JD Rockefeller before he died. He was impressed that his granddaughter brought a US Senator as a date to the wedding.

Natalie saw that Jack was finally done talking with her grandpa. "There you are! I see my grandfather has taken a liking to you." Natalie said and walked towards the bar. "Oh yes... He's a very fascinating man!" Jack replied. "Yeah I suppose he is..." Natalie replied. "Whiskey on the rocks." Jack said. "Martini for me please." Natalie said. "Come on, follow me." Jack said and took Natalie's hand. "Where are we going?" Natalie asked. Jack led her out of the restaurant. There was a hill outside and they sat down. "What are we doing here?" Natalie asked. "Oh I don't know, I just needed some fresh air." he replied and winked. The air was crisp and the stars were as bright and visible as ever.
