Ding~ Dong~

I rang the doorbell and Natsu answered.

"Hey, come on in. She's in her room," he said as he stepped to the side, letting me in.

"Thanks."

I went up to Wendy's room and knocked.

"Come in . . ." I heard a faint voice.

I opened the door and saw the fellow bluenette on her bed, her forehead on her knees.

"Wendy . . ." I said, not sure what else to say.

She looked up quickly.

"Juvia-san! I-I'm so sorry! I really am! I-" she said as she quickly got off the bed and hugged me tightly.

"Wendy, let me get this straight. It was NOT your fault. Repeat after me, it was not your fault," I said, interrupting her.

"It was not your fault," she repeated.

I looked at her and laughed. She laughed too. We sat on her bed and talked. Somehow, for some reason, I asked her to tell me again how it happened, from her perspective. How my little brother disappeared.

"We were hanging out in my room. We were laughing, and playing, and just . . . having fun. He asked me if we could draw and I agreed, stood up, and left the room to get some colored pencils and paper. When I got back, he was gone. Just disappeared. It was like he never even existed. There was no trace of him. Except for the fact my window was not all the way closed. It was like someone entered through my window, and then left back through it, closing it but making the mistake of not closing it completely. After that, I called Natsu from the house phone since I didn't know yours, and he called your family to break the news and get everyone searching," she said.

I nodded in thought. It matched up to my perspective, and Wendy would never lie anyway. The police even came and searched from top to bottom for any clues. Only hers and Jamie's fingerprints were found, along with ours since we've been there before, but not on the window. Lyon must be very good at these things. Another secret to the side of him none of us knew about.

"Wendy, trust me. I blame myself too. It isn't your fault, I just want you to know that. He'll be back before you know it. That I promise," I told her. Not a hint of untruthfulness was in my voice or facial expression. I will get Jamie back even if it's the last thing I do.

She hugged me and I left their house, going to my own.

The Next Day, On The Way To School:

I was about a block away from school when it happened. One minute I was walking to school with headphones on. The next I was pinned against the stone wall by my worst enemy, Lyon.

He smirked and lifted my headphones from my head. His face got real close to mine, and I whimpered and looked down at the ground.

"No mistakes today, alright? You wouldn't want anything to happen to your brother, right?" He said, waiting for my answer.

I took a breath and looked him in the eyes. His eyes were one of a predator who had his prey right where he wanted it.

"Lyon, just let him go," I pleaded, "Just promise you'll let him go, and I'll do anything. I'll go with you to that college and I'll stay by your side. I'll be the best at acting like your girlfriend. I just want him free!"

He laughed, "But if I do that, he'll ruin everything. Cops believe kids, you know. And I don't want you to ACT as my girlfriend, I want you to BE my girlfriend. I want you to love me like I love you. And I love you so . . . SO much," he chuckled.

He took a piece of my hair in his fingers and played with it. He looked at it like he was completely fascinated with it. Like he had never seen anything like it. Like it was gold, maybe.

"You know, I've always loved your hair. It's like a waterfall. Such a beautiful blue. No wonder you like the water so much," he said as he stared at it.

I was seriously getting very creeped out by him. He's never been like this before. Not ever. It was like . . . he was obsessed with me. Like, the stalker kind of obsessed. Almost like he'd do anything, even kill, just so I wouldn't turn to anyone but him. I glanced down to see my headphones in his left hand, while his right fingers still held strands of my hair. I took a deep breath and grabbed my headphones. While he was distracted by that, I pushed him away, picked up my bag that had dropped, and ran to the school as fast as I could.

I only stopped when I realized I was about to collide with Lucy and Gajeel-kun. Lucy saw me and dropped her books, turned to me, who was trying to stop running, and caught me, knocking us both down.

"Owie," I groaned.

"KYAAA!" I heard Lucy scream as I was then pushed away.

I got up to see Lucy holding her breasts, embarrassed. I laughed.

"That's always the problem with you, Lucy. Whenever people trip and fall on you from the front, they always land on them," I laughed.

"Gihee," Gajeel chuckled as well.

"It's not my fault!" She whined.

"Tch, how come it never happens to me then," Natsu pouted as he walked up.

A tick mark appeared on Lucy's forehead, and yet again.

"Perv!" She yelled as she kicked him.

"Yeah, that sort of thing actually makes me glad that I'm flat," Levy added as she stepped out from behind Natsu.

"Shrimp, you may be flat in one area but there's another area that's just right," Gajeel joked.

"Perv!" Levy shouted as well.

"Gihee."

"So I see you've made up?" Lucy asked.

"Yep!" Levy said, holding up a peace sign.

"Juvia, what were you running from anyway?" Gajeel asked me.

"O-Oh well um, I was hoping to make it to the library to check over the rest of Gray's research for our project before third period," I responded.

Just as I mentioned it, the bell rang.

"Guess I won't get to now," I laughed.

"Yeah, too bad," Levy agreed.

"Well, see you guys later!" Called Lucy as her and Natsu left for first period.

"By guys!" Levy called as well.

Me and Gajeel just stared at them leave, dumbfounded.

"Wait . . . but isn't Lucy with us for first period?" I asked.

"Yeah . . . Oh crap we're gonna be late! If I get another late mark then Shrimp is gonna freak!" Gajeel yelled as he dragged me to our first period class, math.
