chapter 12

The army marches on.  Moving along the east coast of Gondor.    The next fort was only a few miles away.    However, Iris got stuck with guarding the prisoner for the rest of the trip.   Needless to say, Iris was not happy about it.   

Iris marched with the others, leading Vala along by her "leash". 

Vala: I wonder something about you Iris.

Iris: The less you talk the better.

Vala: I wonder does a woman such as yourself take charge? Or are you the one to let others take over.

Iris: Excuse me? 

Vala: It tells me what I want to know about you.

Iris: Then just ask what you want to know.

Vala: Are you the submissive one, or did I  assume too much about Y/n?

Iris: Shut up! That is none of you're concern. 

Vala: Perhaps you are right.  I only have to really convince you really.

Iris looked at Vala with murder in her eyes.

Iris: What's your game?

Vala: Simple, a two for one deal. I don't mind sharing really.  I'm not confined to one form of pleasure.  Besides, aren't you curious? 

Iris: No.  I have Y/n. He's all I need. 

Vala: Such loyalty. It's admirable, it really is. But you can't lie to me. I can tell when someone bottles up their curiosity.    Especially when it comes to "desire".

Iris: *annoyed* Would you shut up!

Vala smirked but stayed quiet the rest of the way. The army set up camp and  began to let loose. 

They set up a pit and began having pit fights.  However, Vala was chained to a large nail, where she couldn't see the fighting. Which was disappointing for her. 

Y/n and Iris were walking  past her.

Vala: You are so mean to me Y/n. You don't even let me watch the fight? *sarcastic* And here I thought you and I had an understanding. 

Y/n stopped and walked back to Vala, standing in front of her. 

Vala: I just want to watch the fight. 

Y/n: You should be grateful Kruk isn't using meat off you're arms to make dinner.  

Vala wasn't fazed  by his words and kept her smile.

Vala: Oh I'm very grateful, trust me. * flirting* Maybe I can show you just how grateful I really am.

Her words angered Iris who stepped in between them.

Iris: Shut up you whore!

Iris punched Vala in the stomach who groaned then laughed.

Vala: *sarcastic* Darling, I know you don't know this, but I'm a bit of a masochist. Almost as much as I am a sadist.

Iris growled at Vala. 

Vala responded with a smirk.

Vala: Don't let that stop you. I can take everything you throw at me, "my love".

Y/n moved Iris aside almost roughly and grabbed Vala by the throat, this surprised Vala and made her lose her smirk.

Y/n just stared at Vala. Vala regained her composure.

Vala:  *sarcastic* Oh my, you can be quite possessive, can't you?  *normally* Don't worry, my plan isn't to take her from you.  In fact, my plan is to join her.

Y/n removed his hand.

Y/n: I don't know what you did before. But orcs don't have the human concept of "sleeping around".

Vala: Is that what you think i'm doing? *chuckle* I suppose I can't force you.  

Y/n went ahead and pulled the nail out of the ground and grabbed the end of the makeshift leash.

Iris: What are you doing?!

Y/n: Letting her see the fight. 

Iris: *worried* Y-Y/n?

Y/n looked at Iris who had a look of extreme sadness.   

Iris: I...I'm...enough...aren't I? 

Y/n understood what she was thinking.

Y/n: Of course you are Iris! I'm not Osmond, I'm not abandoning you.

Vala looked with wonder.

Vala in head: Intresting.   

Y/n held his hand out for Iris who held his hand.  They went to where the orcs set up a throne for Y/n to sit in to watch the fight.

Y/n hammered the nail a few feet away from him and attached the end of the leash to it.

Y/n sat down.  

Iris sat on Y/n's lap. Y/n kissed her cheek and  began to watch the fights. 

After a while the fights ended and it was nighttime. 

Vala was chained to a post. She watched orcs walk by for a while.  Until she noticed Iris about to do the same thing.

Vala: Hey Iris, mind if I have a word?

Iris wanted to ignore her and walk away. But she decided to hear her out.

Iris: What do you want?

Vala: I finally understand you.

Iris: Pardon?

Vala: I understand why you betrayed humanity. It wasn't just because you love Y/n. It's because you've been hurt by humanity, so you found comfort in another species. 

Iris: What's your point? 

Vala: I have to complement you, normally somebody as beautiful as you finds themselves in the beds of many to heal themselves. You are lucky. 

Iris: What are you getting at?

Vala: I've seen the look in his eyes. The look of pure passion and care.  They show it in different ways. His is through his fists. *laughs* The poor fools that'd hurt you.

Iris: Stop messing around, what is the point?! 

Vala: Isn't it better to have two people look at you that way then one?

Iris: *growls* You are not going to give up on that, will you? 

Vala: What can I say? I'm persistent. 

Iris growled and walked away.

In reality Vala could escape if she wanted to. But humanity bores her. She much prefers the savage nature of orcs.  So she rather stick around than run back to humans.
