Pretending

'I'm never going to trust anyone again. I thought they will be better. Why does anyone keep telling all lies!?' Kageyama thought.

Kageyama was the last one to walk towards the clubroom to change. When he was close to the changing room, he heard someone mention his name.

"I'm so tired of pretending! Why does Kageyama have all the attention!? Tsukki, when are you going to break up with him!?"

"Soon, don't worry."

Kageyama's heart sink, hearing those words. But, it hurts more when he heard the next sentence,

"The team would be better if we don't have him in our team!"

"Sugawara-san is so much better than him, but why does Kageyama have to be the starting setter!? He is still like in middle school!"

"We'll think about that later, now quiet before he will come in on us."

After just a few minutes, Kageyama walked in and act like nothing happened. "Hey guys.."

"Hey Kageyama!!"

Kageyama can see the disgusted tune on them and the fake smiles they gave him. All of a sudden, Tsukishima hugged him from the back. "Is there something wrong, baby?"

"N-Nothing is wrong, bubs..."

"If you say so."

Kageyama can tell that Tsukishima wasn't worried. He knew Tsukishima never loved him.

After practice, Kageyama was the one to lock the gym. Everyone already left for meat buns, never want to wait for the blueberry setter. Kageyama was really hurt, that everyone was just pretending. Those head pats, compliments and friendly talks, was all just a disguise for an insults. He just went straight home, not wanting to bother his teammates' precious time together. When he arrived home, he was only welcome by the darkness. No one really welcomed him home. His heart ache. It hurts. He walked towards his bedroom and throw himself in the bed.

A few hours later, you can only hear muffle sniffs inside his room. All of a sudden, the doorbell rings. He quickly wiped his tears and went down to open the door. He was shocked to see them.

"Mr. Tobio!"

"Jason? Lance? What are you guys doing here!?"

"Not just us, Sir!"

"Hey Tobi."

"Mom! Dad!"

"My baby!" His mother shouted before hugging Tobio.

Tobio couldn't help but tear up.

"What? Did you not miss us?" His sister, Miwa asked.

"I-It's not that! I just- I won't be alone now!" Tobio said.

"Aww, now come and give your big bro a hug!" His brother, Tenji said.

Tobio immediately run towards him, giving him a big hug.

"Now, come on. Let's go inside" His Father said, ruffling the youngest hair.

When they went inside, they were surprise that the house was pretty dark. Jason and Lance turn on the lights and put the gifts in the living room.

"Wait Tobio, why are your eyes puffy?.." His big brother asked.

"Oh um-"

"We'll talk about that later. If it is something bad, we will make it better.." His mother said.
