The next week
Loretha's POV:

It was the night of Lucious party and I was excited yet nervous. I got dressed and by the time I was finished getting ready Barry called "Loretha babe I don't think I can make it tonight I have some work to finish I'm sorry." I sighed "um it's okay." He said "Promise me you'll be safe and watch out for Lucious." I smiled at his genuine care for me and then said "I'll be fine I'll call you when I get home." Before he hung up he said "I love you Loretha." I stumbled over my words not sure if I'd felt the same I said "Barry I uh got to go or I'll be late I'll talk to you." I hung up and felt a sort of relief that Barry wasn't coming. I headed downstairs and saw my father sitting in front of the tv, he said "now little girl where you think you going at 9:00 at night?" I stuttered "um dad it's it's just a little rave at the underground nothing big. Please let me go dad. I got nothing but good grades please."  He walked towards me " I want you back in this house at 11:00 sharp and believe I'll be waiting." I hugged him "thank you dad."

I left the house and got to the underground I just stood around looking trying to find Lucious and before I knew it he was up on stage beginning to spit. He shouted me out In his rap by saying "had a crazy week moms was tripping but I met a fine honey so everything all good. Nah we ain't tryna hurt nobody all we want to do is party, nah we ain't trying to hurt nobody all we wanna do is party." He pointed to me and I remember feeling so in love and yes it happened that fast.  After his rap I guess someone was checking for me so Lucious came up to me and said "uh oh the cooks plumbing van coming for cookie again." I scoffed "Loretha." Trying to remind him of my name but he persisted and said "Nah you're my cookie." He inched closer and closer to me and all of a sudden I heard someone call out my name "Loretha!" I turned and saw Barry walking in I said "Barry what are you doing here? I thought you had work" He said all heated "I came for my girl, I knew Lucious was trying pull something with you." At this point Barry had stepped to Lucious and said "What's up youngbo?" and pushed his shoulders. Barry said "aye man don't touch me." I stepped in between so things wouldn't escalate but Lucious said "Nah nah I'm just going to take him out for a little chat right out there. Come on." They left and I didn't know what to do.

Lucious POV:

I brought him outside with my guys, as I brought him out and he tried to say something "look Lucious I don't -" before he could finish his sentence  I hit him with a fist to his face and knocked him out. My guys then got at him and started kicking him. We jumped down to where he was bleeding and moaning and I crouched down in front of him and said "Just so we're clear, She's mine." I stomped him once more leaving my mark and claiming her. I was going to fight for her and make it known she was mine now and forever. I got back to the party and Loretha was gone. I looked around for a sign of her but she wasn't there, had I scared her off? I just had to let that chump know she belonged to me. It was only the beginning of relationship and blood was already involved.
