about 20 minutes had passed, the clothes were in the washer and andrea was almost done with her shower.bored, sam entered andrea's room and lays on her bed, getting too comfortable. as even more time passes, the noise of doors swinging open comes from in front of sam.
she sits up, seeing andrea coming out of the bathroom with just a towel on and her hair messed up.
sam is mesmerized, almost out of shock before quickly covering her eyes, "holy shit— andrea i'm sorry!"
andrea laughs, "it's okay, i don't mind. we're just friends."
sam slowly uncovers her eyes. something about the words "just friends" somehow drew a negative emotion in her.
"i'll uhh... leave the room while you get dressed," sam stumbles over her words, "when you're done, come into the living room."
andrea nods, holding the towel around her as sam leaves. as sam closes the door behind her, she takes a moment as she feels her cheeks getting hot.
sam, stop, she thinks to herself, shaking off her flustered feelings. she makes her way to the couch, sitting down and playing on her phone as she waits.
moments later, andrea walks into the room wearing a clean, oversized hoodie and shorts. sam stares.
"like what you see?" andrea jokes, feeling better after getting clean. sam hesitantly laughs before scooting over so andrea can take a seat.
"god, tonight has been..." andrea begins to speak.
"horrible?"
"completely. i would never expect you to come over but i'm so glad now," andrea says, hesitating before placing her hand on sam's cheek.
"how can i even repay you?" andrea asks.
sam freezes, madly blushing, before speaking again. "i, um. you don't have to repay me, andrea. i just want you to feel better."
andrea removes her hand and smiles, "thank you, sam."
sam grins, nodding.
"i already felt better from the moment i saw you," andrea adds, slightly blushing.
a comfortable silence filled the room as they looked into each other's eyes.
what did i get myself into, sam thought.
