the Jar of the mind

You have friends
But they will never know
The tears of grief, and pain
That you will never show

The tears you shed
In the darkness of the night
Flowing freely down your face
But never a drop shines in the light

The grief you always feel
Will forever have a place in the heart
Be it a death or not
It will mentally tear you apart

The pain you own
Given to you by foe or friend
Words can build you up or down
The ones given to you hurt to no end

But you pull on your mask
And bottle up those emotions
The Jar is filling
Filled with some imaginations

On the outside you are strong
But you aren't on the inside
The time you have spent
Covering up to save your pride

The emotions are all natural
But the jar is not
The emotional baggage
Will forever be not a little but a lot

Let the tears rain
Let the grief go
Let the pain heal
Let the jar open so

The freedom feels amazing
The joy's unbearable
Because the jar is gone without a trace
The emotions are now very bearable

If you're trapped in a jar no excape
Try to reach out to a friend
Or family member
Or else the tears and grief and pain will never ever end
