"KInakabahan ako,"

The midterms ended last week, and I swear that was my first peace. I was shaking because our professors were announcing our grades this second sem. I am in my second year, and I can't fail. Sobrang dasal na dasal ako na huwag sanang mababa, I know I did very good at school at sobrang nag-aral kami ni Nigel at Marcus nitong mga nakaraang linggo.

Our grades weren't supposed to be announced or say to a student, kasi may card giving naman kami. But one of my blockmates insisted, at kinulit si Sir kaya ito kabang-kaba ang lahat at pinapalapit isa-isa para malaman ang average nila.

"Montero,"

Agad namang tumayo ang isa sa kaklase ko. She was happy and confident when she went to our prof but when she came back, her face was covered by heaven and earth. Shit! Ako na ang sunod.

"Montenegro," agad naman akong dali-daling tumayo papunta sa unahan.

Our prof looked at me with a sad face. God, no. "Congratulations, you got 2.0."

My eyes widened and almost jumped. Not bad, for 2.0. I mouthed Emeticia my grade and she whispered back that she got uno for this sem. I raised her a thumbs-ups, iba parin talaga kapag may jowa kang Engineer ano? Nakaka-uno ka sa klase eh.

Hanggang ngayon nalang din ang last day na ipapasok namin dahil Christmas Break na. I'll be spending my Christmas with my family including Papa. We'll be spending time together until New Year's Eve, kasi kailangan din ni Papa umuwi agad dahil sa pending niyang trabaho.

"Samin ka mag-pasko, ha? Sampalin ka ni Mama, kapag hindi ka sumama. Odi'ba rhyme," natatawang sambit ko na ikinatango niya naman.

She rolled her eyes. "Oo na,"

Emeticia and I parted ways because she has errands to go with that bitchy friend or hers. I can still remember when she told me about her Christmas last year with Rago, they went to some province named Echague. She really had a hard time there, I know it.

With this thing going on with Magenta and Rago? If I was Emeticia, I'd probably leave Rago. It's just I can't settle for that less if I know that they still have feelings for each other. I'm not that martyr, but I salute her, despite those commotions, she still stood up beside Rago.

"Maganda pero marupok," I shockingly murmured to myself.

After 6 hours straight from my class, I went home super drained. Sobrang napagod ako hindi dahil sa huling lesson na dinis-cuss, kung hindi sa mga project na ibigay na isusubmit after the chritmas break.

"Ma, nandito na ako."
