hi there! welcome to this shitshow of a modern highschool streamer au (god that's a mouthful). lemme explain the au a bit, along with some other tidbits/headcannons :D

-au;
killua is a well known streamer and youtuber, under the name 'CATBOY!' he's a second year in high school, about 15, who likes to play games and chat in lives. he has about 100k followers on youtube; about 30k on twitch, averaging around five thousand viewers per live stream. many people watch him for his rage gamer personality but chill demeanor surrounding his community, with a wide variety of content on both his youtube and twitch. he often plays overwatch, fortnite, pokemon, minecraft, and a few others, sometimes having just chatting streams where he reads fanfiction with the popular creator Pika.
gon is a small, 15-year-old twitch streamer who's, overall, a chaotic gremlin. he often streams for up to at least four hours a day, with connections to larger streamers. he sometimes talks about them as if there's nothing special about being friends with one of the largest influencers on the platform. he mainly streams minecraft, pokemon, animal crossing, mariokart, overwatch, well- he basically streams anything and everything. once, he streamed for a full six hours playing doki doki literature club, taking a ten minute break after sayori's...ahem, deletion, as she was his favorite. another time, he streamed for a full 12 hours playing danganronpa: trigger happy havoc, having been suggested it on twitter, and finding a heavy interest in it after watching the anime. on more than one day a week, he'll stream himself doing homework and just chatting with his viewers, using them as 'my lil homework helpers cause i suck at asking for help'.

-headcannons;
gon and killua are second years, kurapika and leorio are third years, and alluka and zushi are first years!
killua's user is wCATBOY!, gon's is GONE LOL, kurapika's is Pika!, leorio doesn't have a twitch or youtube, but is often featured on pika's streams, alluka, to, doesn't have an account, but often plays with her brother under the gamer tag of 'BOO UWU!!", and zushi goes under the name 'zushiroll', making content on youtube.
gon in this au is trans! he has a gofundme to get surgery and hormones
gon's from a farming family, only being introduced to the internet after moving into an apartment with two other people.
gon's roommates are zushi and kurapika :smirk:, and he's completely unaware they're extremely fuckin popular online
gon has a swear jar. you swear, you put a quarter in the jar, and at the end of the week the three go out for coffee and biscuts
gon excels in biology, zoology, and botany!
gon has three friends, two being in the grade below him, and one being in the grade above him pwp
killua lives in an apartment with his (barely) younger sister!
killua makes a lot of money off youtube and twitch
killua owns two cats, one named cotton, a pure white longhaired main coon, and the other named boney, a black shorthaired ragdoll.
killua excels in lunch class, science overall, and math 
killua is a HEAVY curser
killua fucking SUCKS at spelling. he just ends up spelling shit they way its said.
killua's vision is absolute shit. he needs glasses for everything
killua's favorite siblings are kalluto and alluka. he hates everyone else (illumi's special to a point. he both fucking despises him and care for him)
he has anxiety!! he takes meds for iut
his sleep schedule is shitter than his vision. he can stay up for 3 days without breaking a sweat+
he's very aware he's pretty; but worries about his appearance too much to let his stream see him. also privacy reasons
he goes to night school most days, sometimes attending day school, and very rarely attending school in general
