Seonghwa

By now, I'm already familiar with the breakfast supplies for the other creatures, or the 99z, as they like to call themselves, for I don't know what reason. Carrots, apples, meat, and bacon bits. Sounds like a weird combination, which it is, but trust me, they all taste pretty good. Especially the meat. I, myself, enjoy a good steak, don't know about you guys. But I digress.

All the necessities go in the large wicker basket, including some insecticide. Jongho's been complaining about bugs recently, and I'd hate for the poor child to get bitten by the mosquitoes. After that, I double check the front door to make sure its locked, and head out the back into the sunshine. You can feel the warmth of the light from up here, however, the instant you walk down the hill and touch bottom, there's no sign of it. Only at this point are we able to watch the sun rise again. Reliving the moment. It's almost like having a second chance at living, which is what we all had. Another opportunity at life.

In terms of moments, personally, if I were allowed to choose one time in life to relive, it would definitely be the day when Hongjoong decided he did love me that much, in that way. That day when we shared our first kiss... I literally remember every detail like it was yesterday... And I digress again.

Instead of rolling down the hill, which I know that they do; I mean, I'm the one who has to help them when they're injured, I gingerly step down the slope. "Hurry up, Hwa hyung! You're gonna miss it!" "What did he say? I don't speak dragonese." "He just asked me to hurry up, that's all." "..." "Did he use the honorifics?" "Yes, he did! Now you're the one who might miss it!"

I hurry over and sit down beside the human, with the baby dragon gently nestled between his crossed legs. Steadily, I inch the edge of my wing around them and nudge them close, with them both complaining about the friction burning their butts. But hey, they have no right to complain. Neither of them has fallen into a rose bush.

Leaning onto Hongjoong, the three of us watch as the sun emerges once again from behind the frosty tips of the mountains.

Just the three of us, the five in the stables, this house, this world, everything is just perfect. And how much I would give for it to stay just as it is.
