Ch. 11

Grinning i close the door again.

The house is dark and everyone is already asleep and upstairs.

I walk up the stairs and see a door a bit open. Walking up to it i can see a kid with, what i guess, a older sibling.

I get my knife out and call 911 with the landline. I leave it there and dont answer.

Walking to the parents room i open the door and walk in. The father is facing me but asleep. I stab him through the heart and he is instantly dead.

I walk over to the mom and she woke up. Grinning i look at her and she screams.

She launches at me and i dodge a few hits before she hits me in my ribs.

"You bitch." I bite and throw my knife. She dodges it, making a lot of noise and she stumbles towards the closet.

"Oh no you wont." I walk towards her and she screams names, probably her kids, to run. I wouldnt hurt them to be honest. I aint ending a childs life.

She grabs a heavy book and throws it towards my head.

Hitting me in the head i fall on the ground and see spots. The door opens and i hear a body fall.

A hand reaches to me. "Come on Mal, lets get you looked at." Clockwork.

I grab her hand and slowly stand up.

"She dead ?" Laying my hand on my head i cringe and see blood.

Clockwork nods and walks me out the house.

"The kids alive ?" I ask.

"They came running at me, so no." I freeze and let go off her hand.

She was just doing her job. I shouldnt take it that hard.

But she killed 2 kids. The mom screaming their names surfaces in my mind and i close my eyes.

"Leave me here get EJ to look at me. I cant walk." I sit down on the stairs as we didnt come very far.

"Alright." She walks away and i look over to the kids room.

I could use my magic ?

I crawl towards their room and see the brutal scene. Their chests open and their eye carved out.

I almost have to puke and focus on my magic.

She was so brutal. I close my eyes and sigh.

Someone walks up the stairs and i feel a hand on my shoulder.

"Its alright, lets go." Ej says. Nodding i stand up and feeling the headache worsen.

"Fucking hell dude." I mumble and feel blood drip down my head.

I hear someone's footsteps running up the stairs, more blood smell. My eyes wont open and i sigh and lean into Ej.

Someone wraps his arm around me and helps me walk out.

It all becomes dark and i cant feel.

Sunlight is coming through my closed eyelids. I slowly open them and see im in my bedroom.

Someone opens my door and i look to them. Toby.

"Hey, your head was badly hurt." He says giving me a glass of water and i sit up.

I grunt and clench my jaws.

"Thanks. But we should seriously do something about me neing injured everytime you and Ej rescue me." I laugh.

Toby joins me laughing and takes of a bandage from my head.

"Yes, we should do something about that." He applies a new bandage and looks at me. "Maybe i should just come hunting with you."

I grin. "Yeah you would like that." Setting down the glass i stand up.

Toby just looks at me. I ruined something, but he was getting too close.

He nods and i walk towards the bathroom to get changed in some clothing.

There lies a jade blouse and black pants. I put them on and put my hair up. Looking in the mirror i see my head is bruised and kinda bloody. I must've opend the wound.

I open the door and walk to Toby. "Can you apply it again? I think i opened the wound again."

"Sit down, princess." He grins and fixes me up.

"Thanks, jerk." I say. "Howlong was i out for?"

"3 days, Ej let me in your room to keep an eye on you." He said looking away.

3 days he took care of me. He changed my clothing, cleaned my wounds, put me in bed.

"Then i suppose i should thank you." I say and look at him as he stands up.

"Yeah, you should." He says and i step back feeling a wall in my back.

He grins and leans forward. "You look quite pretty, sleeping for 3 days straight."

I almost laugh. "If you think that, you should try and knock me out more." I smile.

Our lips are almost touching and i look at him.

Closing my eyes to calm down my breathing i feel his lips on mine and a hand in my hair. I kiss back and he exposes my neck and starts kissing me there.

"Toby.."

He bites and i let out a small moan.

No, too close..

"Stop, please." I whisper.

He stops and backs away.

"Im sorry if i," he begins.

"Im not ready yet. Dont be sorry." I walk out the room and see clockwork close to my room.

I ignore her and walk to Ej's room.

I shouldnt be so fucking needy. Opening the door Ej is sitting on the floor.

"Yn!" He stands up and walks over to me.

"No touching please, my headache will get worse." I say and he nods.

"Alright, how are you?"

"Except for the fact that my head hurts like shit, im fine." He laughs and i smile.

"Well, lets go eat breakfirst." I nod and we walk downstairs
