The moment they all met up with each other, both Seere and John immediately eyed Max cautiously, all the while his squadmates were hugging him, saying how happy they were that he was alright, even though the pink veins that were visible on his face should give a clear indication that there might be something horribly wrong with him.
"Docs said you'd get better in a week. How did--"
"I think it's better we get an answer later," Mei cut off Kiana, glancing at Max as if she knew something he didn't, but his thoughts immediately changed to that of whatever priority it was ongoing right at that point.
"Now we can get outta here, right?" Seere questioned.
"Actually, I propose an alternative," Kiana voiced out, and all the attention went to her.
"And what exactly is this alternative you speak of?" Fu Hua asked.
"Since we have a very powerful Valkyrie and a very powerful. . . Whatever you call a male Valkyrie is--"
"A Knight." John, arguably the most normie of the male team.
"Crusader." Seere, arguably the most pragmatic of the male team.
'. . . . Einherjar?' Max, without a doubt, the most European of the male team.
"I don't care. Anyway, with our powers combined, we might be able to take down anything!"
Her reward came in the form of Sofia bashing Kiana's head with the side of her greatsword. It was indeed painful, but at the very least it didn't severely damage anything.
"Don't be stupid, Kiana. I may be unkillable, quite literally so, and Max can recover from wounds as quickly as possible somehow, with the addition of some sort of beast like transformation, that doesn't mean we can take on the world of Honkai. Additionally, we have drawbacks when we use them. In Max's case, he becomes more prone to pain. And besides, Max had a solution to that Homu that all you trigger happy students should learn from," Sofia reprimanded.
"And what would that be?"
"Put away your guns and weapons, for starters."
". . . You're kidding, aren't you?"
"I may joke a lot, but I am serious."
They couldn't believe their ears (except for Bronya and Max). She wants her to throw down their weapons, and for what, a chance to not getting absolutely ripped to shreds by a Homu that looked so ripped that even bodybuilders would look in disgust.
"The Bronya agrees with Matushka's proposition," Bronya called out, floating towards her.
"Wha-- Bronya! You're not supposed to agree with them!" Kiana called out.
"The Bronya noticed that Homu did not attack the Bronya whatsoever while Bronya was hacking the elevator. The Bronya suspects that Homu only attacked because it felt threatened, especially with the guns pointing towards it," Bronya reasoned. The boy proceeded to respond with his sign language, another thing that the boys didn't understand.
"He says that his claim was based off of the observations and description of attitude he got from you guys," Fu Hua translated, before she sided with Max. "To be honest, I too agree with Max."
As the others glanced at Kiana, the white haired girl heaved a sigh, knowing when she already lost.
"Fine. Where do we put these away?" She asked.
"Just put them in your holsters. As long as you don't hold them, they won't see you as a threat," Sofia responded. They all complied.
Soon after this, they all walked in whispers, making sure that their footsteps were silent enough that it wouldn't dare echo through the empty hallways, and whispers between the group began.
