A/N: ---> Sammy

God he's so hot. How is it possible to be so attractive? I wonder what his parents look like. How can he not realize how attractive he is when he pushes that hair out of his eyes? How- His rant quickly stopped when he was being elbowed into his side. Looking up Sammy saw his best friend Lea giving him the keep it in your pants look. Sheepishly looking down at his desk, he felt a blush make its way up onto his entire face, knowing his face was bright red at the moment.

Ever since elementary school Sammy has had a crush on Evan Dillon A.K.A the hunky football player with the bitch girlfriend. Why must all the nice guys have to be taken, especially with someone as bitchy as Maci? Sighing he placed his head onto his hand, staring blankly at the board, where Mrs. Sturm was trying to teach everyone Statistics.

Too bad he already took this class, too bad he took all the math classes. Ever since he was little Sammy has absolutely loved math, and has always dreamed about going to MIT- Massachusetts Institute of Technology. After completing all of the advanced Calculus courses and then some college level credits, he still came up short for senior year. So that is why he is in the Statistics class with the rest of the seniors, basically drooling over Evan.

What sucked even more was that Evan was a very nice person, but he was obviously straight if he was dating that witch of a cheerleader. Taking a hesitant glance to his right he saw the football player was staring blankly at the board, looking completely lost. Even when he's confused he's drop dead gorgeous. "Ow!" He was suddenly saying after Lea had thrown her pencil case at his face when he wasn't paying attention.

"Mr. Pearl, Ms. Johnson is there a problem?" Mrs. Sturm said while turning around and giving them that scary teacher look.

"No, everything's fine Mrs. Sturm," Lea said while smiling her pearly white smile while Sammy simply muttered,

"Uh-h-Uh-.."

When Mrs. Sturm turned back around to the board Sammy sighed while giving Lea the most evil glare he could master. When she simply smiled at him he rolled his eyes, noticing that Evan was staring at them. Feeling another blush creep up onto his cheeks he turned away, covering his tomato red face with his hand.

When the final bell rang Sammy all but bolted from the classroom, not even stopping when Lea was yelling at him. "You really need to work on your creeper stare," she said while her long black hair swished behind her.

"I have no idea what you're talking about," he said while she linked her arm through his as they made their way to the senior hallway. Once arriving Lea ventured off to her locker while Sammy continued walking down the congested hallway. He came up short when he saw Evan's girlfriend Maci leaning against his locker, basically feeling Evan up.

Oh god, he thought while biting his lip while feeling his face start to heat up again. Taking a deep breath he started walking over to them before nervously saying, "Uhm Maci? You're in front of my locker." He watched as she turned around, her annoyed eyes looking him up and down.

"Move Maci, sorry about that," Evan said while pulling Maci over to the other side of him. Sighing Sammy started opening his locker, hating that he had to be next to his crush of forever.

"My parents aren't home tonight, want to come over?" Maci asked while running her fingers up and down Evan's chest.

"I have a game tonight, you know that."

"How about after? I'll make you feel like the king you are."

After throwing up in his mouth a little bit, Sammy grabbed his book bag before running back over to Lea, who was laughing her head off. "You seriously have the worst luck," she said while linking her arm though his once again.

"Don't remind me," he said while walking out into the parking lot with her.

After they got into his beat up pickup truck, he started to pull out of the parking lot while Lea started flipping through the stations. When they were pulling out of the school Lea rolled her window down while asking, "You're going to the game tonight right?"

"Please don't make me go."

"When do I ever make you go?"

"Since freshman year," Sammy grumbled while turning his turn signal on.

Taking a quick glance over at his best friend he watched her dark roll her eyes before saying, "You know you have fun. And come on, what else are you going to do on a Friday night?"

Biting his lip he tried to think of something he could do but couldn't think of anything. "Exactly. Pick me up at 6:30?" She asked while Sammy was pulling into her driveway.

"Okay," he said while she kissed his cheek before opening the door.

"Love ya Sammy!"

He couldn't help but smile when she blew him five kisses. Catching all of them he mushed them onto his face. After she was inside he made the twenty minute drive back home.

Turning down a back road he ended up turning into a long driveway. Sammy loved living in the country, so much more than in the city. After parking he got out of his truck, gingerly shutting the door. When he was about to walk into the front door he heard tires behind him. Turning around he saw his twin brother coming down the driveway.

Quickly turning around he bolted into the front door and all but ran up the stairs. He and Sasha have never gotten along; Sasha was simply the mean older brother. He started getting mean when their mom first found out she had cancer, ten years ago. When she ended up losing her fight Sasha turned even more aggressive towards Sammy.

He didn't understand why Sasha had to take his anger out on him; it wasn't like he ever did anything to him, most of the time he was locked away in his room, waiting for their dad to get home from the hospital. Since his father was a heart surgeon, he really wasn't home that often. Unfortunately that meant that he and Sasha always had to be alone together. Thank god for Lea.

When six o'clock rolled around Sammy hesitantly opened his bedroom door, taking a glance down the hallway. When he saw the coast was clear he ran down the stairs and bolted out to his truck. Taking a big sigh of relief he started up the truck before driving over to Lea's.

A smile was coming onto his face when he saw her running out to his truck. "Hey sexy," she said while closing the door and putting on her seat belt.

"Hey. You don't think it'll rain tonight, do you?" Sammy asked while taking a glance up at the dark Massachusetts sky.

"I hope not because I didn't bring a jacket, but I also hope it does so those nice football asses are outlined."

Laughing Sammy simply rolled his eyes while pulling into the crowded stadium. After buying their tickets and walking in, they took a seat in the senior section. Taking a glance down at the field he felt his cheeks grow how just by looking at number 23, the one that had completely stolen his heart. However his heart fell when he watched Maci and her other cheerleader demons strut around in their barely there outfits.

He had no idea why he even had a crush on Evan; he knew that nothing would ever happen. Nothing had happened in seventeen years, with anyone for that matter. It may be stupid but he was always hoping that Evan would like him back, which is stupid because no one besides Lea knows that he's gay, not even his own family. Sammy was terrified to tell Sasha, he knew how anti-gay his brother was. He wasn't too sure how his father would take it either. He simply had to make it until May, where he can finally leave.

Biting his bottom lip he looked back out at the field to see the game starting. His brown eyes stayed glued to number 23 the entire time, admiring how great of a running back he was. Just as the final play had begun the skies decided to open, making everyone run for cover.

Taking a glance over at Lea, Sammy started laughing while seeing her completely staring down some guy's ass. "I think you have some drool on your chin," he said in between fits of giggles.

"Can you blame me? Do you not see those outfits?"

"Oh I do," he said while looking back out at the field, where all the wet football players were still playing. When Evan went on to run in the winning touchdown, everyone jumped up and clapped.

Before he had a chance to clap he was being pulled out of the stands and towards the parking lot. "Too bad I don't have any shampoo, I could shower out here," Lea said while tightening her grip on Sammy's hand as they ran through the downpour.

"Yeah no kiddi-" He was suddenly cut off when they rounded a corner and he ran into someone. Looking up he saw Evan looking down at him, his best friend Teddy standing next to him. Looking up into those dark eyes, Sammy found it difficult to breathe, he was just so attractive. And he'll never be his. Looking over at Lea he watched as she was completely staring Teddy down, drool probably rolling down her chin again.

Looking back up at Evan, Sammy watched as he looked down at his hand, the one that still held onto Lea's. For some reason Evan looked confused while looking at their hands. "Sorry," Sammy breathlessly said before pulling Lea away and running towards the parking lot.

After getting into the truck he put his head back onto his seat, wishing that he wasn't so shy. Maybe if he wasn't so shy he would have the confidence to actually talk to people. Taking a glance out the rainy window, he knew that would never happen.

When Monday rolled around Sammy sat in Statistics once again, smiling when he got his test back. A+ Great work!. Awesome, he thought while looking around the classroom. Most people looked relieved, while others looked like they were going to puke. One of those people being Evan. From where he was sitting, Sammy could vaguely make out a D- on his paper in bright red ink.

He was brought out of his daydreaming when the bell rang, finally ending this long first day of the week. After opening his locker he started getting his sweatshirt out, pretty sure he had caught a cold on Friday. Just as he put his sweatshirt over his head he heard, "Hey Sammy."

Completely freezing, he looked up through the slight crack in his sweatshirt to see Evan looking back at him. Uhm is this really happening? After pulling the fabric down onto his body he felt his heart beat go out of control when he realized that hunky football player was actually looking at him. "Hi," he squeaked while seeing Lea's mouth drop from the other side of the hallway.

"I hope this isn't weird, but I've been doing really bad in Stats lately, and I need to keep my grade up to keep playing. Mrs. Sturm told me about how you're a math whiz, and I was wondering if you could possibly help me out?"

He wants me, Samuel Richard Pearl, to tutor him? Oh god. Where would we even tutor? At a house? Oh god, what if Sasha was there? Oh shoot he's looking at me like I'm crazy... say something! "Sure."

He watched as a smile lit up Evan's tan face while he said, "Thank you! You have no idea how much I appreciate it. I really don't have any free time during the day and I have practice after school. How about you come over to my house tomorrow?"

Oh my god, Sammy thought while watching Evan write down an address on a piece of paper. Slowly taking the paper from him he watched him smile again while slowly putting his hand onto his shoulder. After giving a light squeeze Evan softly said, "Thanks Sammy."

With that he walked away, meeting up with Maci. Looking down at the shaking piece of paper in his fingers, Sammy could not believe what had just happened. This sure will be interesting, he thought while taking one last glance at Evan before retrieving his belongings and running over to his best friend.
